This isn't just recognition of disease though. Its a prediction that you might get that disease in future.

Yes focusing eyes close all day is the real culprit. But there is something about bright light of monitors that seems to impact my vision too, i am not quite sure what its callled though. I don't feel the same fatigue reading a book. Its just my personal experience.

I will drop $750 in a heartbeat if there is enough reviewed proof that eink can limit vision damage longterm. Its one of my main health concerns.

Yes it does and its bleak. I don't understand the valuation based on assumption that even the smallest startup will need to write some fancy map-reduce spark jobs to do analytics and AI. Most companies are best served by a warehouse like snowflake and a realtime layer for analytics. I don't understand the value add of databricks.

i rent a room from 2 ladies who are ski instructors in their early 60s. They seem to have a lot of friends and party a lot ( i get invited to some) and go to a lot of trips and play/ski/camp in the mountains here in the colorado. They are leaving this weekend to party somewhere in streamboat springs.

I guess its important to have hobbies and put effort into weaving those into your life ? Its also easy to find other people who are into and hang out with them?

Maybe because they want the money and working 40hrs isn't so bad? But i really have no idea.

That survey isn't directly related to your original point about working less than 40hrs.

If you are claming that its much different in other countries mere existence of some law isn't enough, it would be a stronger point if you had quoted how many people are actually taking a paycut in those countries in exchange for a day off.

Also sounds like you haven't really looked into laws of MOST first world countries ( whatever that means) yet you made that claim without any proof.

I work for a large swedish company in USA. None of my coworkers in sweden work less than 40 hrs, like not even one.

So is having that choice really relevant and does it really make it different than USA.

I would love to go to so nice destination with magical mountains in colorado than my local hill in wisconsin. I don't care about posting in on facebook or whatever.

Memories are not just for kids though. I would argue they are more for adults.

Sure there are yogis in Himalayas that perfectly content( or atleast pretend to) with no money.

Well most people with the mentality GP is describing cannot get themselves to do this in first place. not sure if this is a budgeting problem. Ppl save obsessively because they think they might need that money for an unavoidable future expense even though they can't quite tell what that might be.

You made an unconvincing point by reducing money to stereotypical 'expensive cars' . What about going on ski trip while your kids are still young and having a magical and memorable moments in life.
