I agree. It seems reasonable to me in the sense that
- only one year
- only affects new agreements and not current buildouts
- gives times for politicians to do whatever it is they need to do to satisfy their constituents

I clicked the article expecting to see some feel-good political grandstanding (I'm a bit cynical these days) but honestly, this seems like a decent approach. Pause approvals for a year giving breathing room for researching the impacts, and hopefully address them.

I played "The Darkness Below" demo on Steam (retro dungeon crawler) and noticed a Jolt3D! splash screen. Having never heard of it, I looked it up and, wow, what a beautifully hideous time capsule. Brings back ethereal memories of sitting in my room late at night as a middle-high schooler looking up a suitable 3D engine for my magnum opus (spoiler: I haven't made that magnum opus yet)

Crimson Desert's engine is heavily derived from Black Desert's engine (called BlackSpace Engine) so it wasn't really from the ground up, but your point still stands.

That's a great point. This is also going to be disastrous for the case against nuclear proliferation, not just in Iran or the middle east -- especially when the co-aggressor has an undeclared nuclear stockpile.

This is just so incredibly embarrassing. We're now negotiating to end a war with a country we have claimed to have defeated like 500 times now, over terms that will not even just return the region to the pre-war status quo, but (most likely) giving them more power than they had when the first bombs were dropped. Not to mention shattering the illusion that the US can somehow protect the gulf states, along with most of our bases in the region and 13 US lives. Even if the US somehow recovers the enriched uranium they now claim was the motive, why would Iran not want to build nukes now? It would be suicidal not to.
(I say this with no sympathy to the Iranian government, just looking at reality.)
