Its a beautiful thing to be able to have these chats. In the past you had to spend a lot of time and resources searching for the person not just with the knowledge but the patience, time and capacity to communicate it well. Open Yale courses has great free phil courses, and then chating about that content with an LLM adds a whole lot more to depth.

Most people/groups are taught How to survive.
Many coast on just that knowledge and die without the WHY to survive question ever coming up.
But if it does come up for you at some point in life, know that different philosophies have different answers. These days you can find summaries of all of them neatly complied like a restaurant menu thanks to LLMs.
People are very diffefent so you find the philosophy that fits you. Also thanks to all those differences proving one is the best is a waste of time and energy. Different ones are useful for different situations.

Lots of probs with existing grid . Certain routes are already overloaded/congested, building new ones is not as easy because of land acquisition costs compared to the past. Repairing, upgrading and maintaining old routes to handle new loads raises costs of moving electrons to your factory etc. One hurricane or blizzard can shut a route down so redundant routes have to be built. People just under estimate how complex things have become.

Only the priest is allowed into the sanctum is a rule that is as old as society. It is created for one reason but gets violated for another. The human mind is made of layers to handle predictions over different time horizons. Due to unpredictability in the universe contradictions between layers will keep arising. We make up stories to cope. So there is Control and there is Illusion of Control.

They dont talk about rebound effect. When energy gets cheap/free people produce more, consume more, waste more.

That has nothing to do with where factories, mines, farms etc are already located. You have to buy land to connect the power plant to the load and some guy in the middle wont sell. Handle congestion/maintenance of those lines etc. Lots of issues beyond just generation that the grid already is dealung with even though massive solar plants have been built. But main thing is weather forecasting has to get better because even with existing huge plants constant surprises happen.

It will happen when we have better weather forecasting models. If it gets randomly cloudy for 5 days this month and 17 days next months screws up planning for factories, farms, datacenters etc.

Racists havent heard of Ashbys Law of Requisite Variety.
Its also why they get left behind by everyone who has.
Its an ever growing complex and unpredictable world. Sameness is not a strength in complexity theory.
