I built OS3-RNode as a tiny RNode-compatible LoRa modem firmware for CH32V003 + E22-900M22S.
It is based on a small deterministic event-driven core, with no scheduler, no threads, and bounded interrupt work. The goal was to make a minimal and auditable transport for Reticulum/NomadNet on very constrained hardware.
The article has the architecture notes and a firmware link. Feedback on the event model, failure handling, and interoperability tradeoffs would be useful.

Let me applaud you. I’m 43 years ald autodidact. And it’s only last month I started to take some note in a notebook about my reading. I feel this simple thing missing in my life had a huge negative effect.
So many content I read, watch and my brain is never full of new things new topic new understanding but the biggest difficulty is recalling things when needed. Taking notes, summarising key points, and being able to reread it has a huge power to structure though and articulating idea between them. Also it’s avoid thing to stay in a vague memory in the brain.
Also I use my notebook to write down any idea that cames to my mind anytime. Cause the brain is never stopping working, while I pop, while I walk the dog out, while I shop. Anytime I feel I have something interesting showing up I my mind I write it down.
Since almost 2 months. And I can say this simple act was the missing piece in my life.

As far as it’s about intelligence, don’t the author suffer the navel- glazing biais to only consider intelligence in one dimension, as an individual characteristic.
Human like many others species is a social species. And collective intelligence is what emerge from social interaction in a cohesive group.
A bee hive is able to solve geometrical series, while none of individuals in the hive is able to solve it by himself.
Human are not différents and collective intelligence is what truly exists and is important despite all the individualism propaganda.
So there might be a curse of intelligence at individual scale. But we don’t have to worry about it. Because individual intelligence as almost not importance compared to collective intelligence.
In fact it’s almost the opposite, the curse of intelligence can only exists in individualistic environment when no feedback is provided, by censorship, or silencing process from the inner rules defining the social link between individuals.
For instance I would suggest reading the “gossip trap”’from Erik Hoel explaining how archaic social structure based on personal branding as the only sustainable way to survive in the group is destroying civilisation and pushing the group back in barbaric time.
Managing you own notoriety and personal branding is the core aim of social media. With this new category of influencers.
There is no curse of intelligence. There os curse of social mediation which fails to modulate individual intelligence in the benefit of the collective intelligence.
Cheers

I don’t know if I’m qualified as a father of three.
The most important point to raise children from my POV and experience is: mimétisme.
The very efficient way to teach or train them to adopt habit or behaviour is by personating yourself what you want them to be.
Children are copying what you are more than what you do.
Want them to love book ? Don’t buy them book and keep watching tv, play in front computer, or frenetically scroll your mobile. Just be a reader in front of them.
Want them to be curious, just be curious yourself… want them to clean and order their room, just clean your mess and order the house.
It’a all about that Your behaviour is the most important.
Leadership is not about enforcing things to other. But being the living example of the behaviour you want them to adopt.
Another important point from my POV, is learning and emotional context of the learning.
The more relaxed is the emotional context, the easier the learning will be easy and the skills will be able to be reused with ease in the futur.
Each time you use a skill in your life, your body also bring back the emotional context of the time of skill learning.
Learning is joy, not pain, not stress, not tension. And they start learning and never stop from the moment they are out of the mother’s belly.
It’s your responsability as a parent to enforce a relaxed and joyful environment in your house.
I could say far more, but I will stop here and wish you the best of luck. Congratulation for you and your wife being a parents.
For the first three years, I cannot recommend anything else than reading and practicing what explain this book : https://www.gentlerevolution.com/products/how-smart-is-your-...
If you have to buy one book this is this one.

From my French perspective, I would say developers aren’t paid enough.
For one reason: market price manipulation.
Half the IT market here is handled by service company. Their main business is to hire IT guys and sell them at daily rate to customer (final company).
This works very well for market price manipulation when the middle company owners are also the owner of the customer company.
Let me explain: let talk about bank. They are the biggest IT service customer on the market followed by military.
So in the late 80, when they get bored to be milked by freelancer cobol développers they united and created a service company, which business is to hire IT guys and resell them to themself ( the banks).
They hired cobol dev from North Africa, for far cheaper than hire locals, they invented business rules in buyers département, defining that the bank cannot make business with small company (too risky). Most dev freelance run a little company for accounting and billing.
Then when the locals were looking for new job, they didn’t have choice, they have to go through the service company which was allowed to make contract with banks (because she is far bigger than one man company) and the poor local dev was pressured to cut by half his price cause he was in competition with the North African dev.
We can also talk that as far as the service company and the banks are owned by the sames guys, this eases a lot of accounting and tax optimisation, to say the least.
And here in France only a des service companies are managing now half of the IT market.
And guess what ? There isn’t any union for IT industry.
And also this situation helps to create the fear about not enough IT guys, pushing government to open wide the frontier to allow foreigner to work.
How ?
Well when a bank open a position to be filled, she sent the proposal to several service companies, and then those service companies publish proposal on job board. So there can be 5 or 6 open position on a job board, for the only one real open position at the final customer.
And after médias are writing article about how it is difficult to find people, there is much demand and so few candidates, we must open the border and let all peoples around the globe onboard in France to fill the job market. All that while we almost have 10 000 000 of unemployed.
I don’t know how it works in other countries, but this is mostly how it works since late 80 in France.
Let’s not forget about the public money (state money from tax) thief scheme. When ministry is opening an it positon around 1500 euros/day rate, and when the final working (the guy doing the job for real) is only able to bill around 600euros/day. 900euros days are going to a multilayer of middle service companies which most merit is to have a guy able to use a phone, and whose boss has often an uncle or similar into ministry or gov.

The more I dig into cybernetic (wiener), information theory, self emergence, collective intelligence and consciousness. The more as individual I have the intuition that people are “prisoner” of individualism.
Fundamental paradigm of capitalism is to have a huge class of individual mass consumer. Prisoner of “individualism” to turn people in perfect consummer.
The side effect is that, the concept of complexity, complex system, complex system dynamics, are totally stranger to most peoples.
Mainstream rationalism is based on direct causal relation between two elements. But this framework of though and analysis is very limited and has very low fertility in term of complex system. Mostly cause most interesting features or beneficial properties of collective dynamic aren’t possible not understandable with mainstream rationality.
Let’s take an exemple: water.
Water is matter, and matter in physics has three common state, either solid, either liquid, either gaz (we not gonna talk about plasma).
Can a single molecule of water be solid, or liquid, or gaz ? None of them. A single molecule is in undefined state of matter.
If so, can two isolated molecules of water can be in those states ? Nope again.
For physics, phase properties turning a set of water molecule into matter in one of those three states appears when the minimal set of molecule of water is 21.
So matter properties aren’t existing in a set of water molecules lower than having 21 ones of them.
If you aren’t aware of the works of Micheal Levin in morphogenesis and cellular self organisation, collective intelligence in tissue formation, I really push you to listen to the few interview of him on youtube.
How a set of cells are starting to communicate to collectively self organise and produce a complex living organism with demonstrating special intelligence, reproduction and adaptation is a real miracle.
None of those individual cells are able to do that alone, only when they start to communicate and build a cohesive group.
Why do I tell those things ? Cause from my perspective, there isn’t any difference between those cells and human, there isn’t any difference between those cells and company.
And each time I look back to my 20years in IT working in complex platform (finance or payment industry) I can only state that system engineering, should be renamed complex system engineering.
The final product (either a platform providing service, or a physical item) is the result of a collective intelligence trying to self organise and expand itself.
So the product is fully part of this collective intelligence as a growth bénéfice. And is fully part of this collective intelligence.
It’s like quantum mechanic: the witness of the experiment is part of the experiment. He is not indépendant and neutral.
Therefor the system engineer designing a system is not neutral, as far as the set of all individuals in a company aren’t neutral and indépendant of synthesis of their own collective intelligence whose téléologie is to give birth into a product (either service or goods)
So in conclusion, the human environment is part of the complex dynamical system, and the complexity (information level) in the outcome (product) is often deeply tied of the complexity of the collective intelligence producing it.
So system engineering should not only focus on the outcome only. Like a system engineer designing a platform for a service, but consider that the company, the product, and customer, and the world outside all those element are a super organism far more complex than the product itself, and therefore should ensure that the superstructure has all the condition for the emergence of this super organism and make it viable.

How this measure fights against bot ?
From my own experiment with twitter, verified account were mostly real human. And I don’t care much about them. As individuals they are sensitive to human connection and relationship.
The real issue here is the millions of fake account, managed by only a few human, adopting an aggressive herd behaviour:
- coordinated mass harassment
- coordinated mass report
- coordinated mass insulting
- coordinated mass influence
- coordinated mass retweet/like to cheat those indicator of social credibility.
The c19 Covid was a very good time to observe such phenomenon.
As a French and having sympathy to Dr Raoult, for being at the first line of diagnostic and treatment, I had to fight with thousand of such accounts, acting in a temporal and geographical coordination on those specific topic to build ressent, create confusion, and discredit the communication of the official account of Dr Raoult.
Those account were always pretty similar in their twitter history, before becoming the finest of finest of epidemiology specialists, they were tweeting mostly:
- soccer game, with affiliate link to bet website
- computer gaming relaying mostly affiliate link to some online lottery to win a brand new graphical card from famous website.
Those two elements were 99% of their original content, often less than 100 tweets on the course of several years. But their “reply” content started to be active at the beginning of the epidemic and since then represented 100% of their activities.
Similar profile picture, similar wording in bio,
What was funny is that in the following months I identified others subgroups of twitter bots
With different history of “influence attempts”.
For instance it is well known that our president Macron online strategy was heavily based on Telegram top-down communication and order passing.
In political meeting, all the supportive crowd was connected to telegram chat room and were asked to join them before the event to coordinate crowd reaction during the meeting.
Once those groups were built, the online herd activity started with the apparition in the months before election of numerous similar accounts on twitter, all reacting to online twitter content about Macron, in same way with similar phrasing if not identical phrasing.
Lately I demonstrated with twitter search function, this behaviour by identifying almost 20 accounts exactly twitting the identical same phrase in reaction of a journalist about to release big news about Eric Zemmour.
So basically, the fake account and bot aren’t on the side of “verified account”, but only on the side of individuals, collective, lobbyist farming millions of fake account and either for money, or ideological passion they misbehave and manipulate the opinion of the tweeter crowd for specific purpose.
For instance and for those who can understand the reference, twitter is the perpetual modern replay of The most known form of injustice and crowd manipulation: the judgement of Jesus Of Nazareth by Ponce Pilate.
Many fails to understand the this judgement was the birth of civilisation, as far as Christian civilisation is deeply tied to notion of justice and fighting against the essence of tribalism, double standard, and crowd justice from mass hysteria.
From this point of view twitter is the most powerfull weapon against civilisation as the biggest destroyer of Justice, and the biggest agitator of crowd.
To conclude, how this measure will fight against state level influence on twitter such as the well known Hasbara tactics with civilian/military hybridation for supporting Israel, and it’s online perception worldwide.
For instance, creating fake account, acting in coordination to support Israel politics, especially about Palestinian to reshape positively the feelings toward Israel is mandatory to obtain official degree in isrealian university, and supervised by Israeli military structure.
Addendum: the biggest move Elon Musk could do, and also the easiest to performs: remove ignore/block button and all block lists associated to any account. This also will have the advantage to spare a few MB of data on twitter DB, and diminished the load to filter the content of each account filtering their social feed.

I would say that habits, inherited patterns from environment shaping how we behave are far more important in our daily behaviour and outcome from them.
As far as discipline and accountability can be solution to adress those issue, they also reinforce guilt and shame for all those struggling and failing on this path to solve their issue.
And often is used as a survivor biais self glorification.
Most if not all of your behaviour are directly or indirectly tied to your environment, and feedback from your environment.
I myself struggled 30years being overweight, obese and ultra sedentary.
Adopting a dog in my home, had more impact on all those issues than all coach/doctor/ and self discipline and accountability.
The dog was a major cause of perturbation forcing me to adoption of new patterns and frame of decision.
Most healthy and shape peoples are the one lucky enough to have been living in a very positive environment which they inherited.
Mimétism is the most important way of transmitting behaviour pattern (and emotional reaction). Once you understand that, you can reshape your environment to improve, adapt the mimetic feedback to yourself.

Beginning of September I received a notice from Google, saying that the free service of managing my custom domain is halted and that I would have to buy a plan, in order to continue to use their service for my custom domain.
It has been several years I was from time to time looking to Google alternative. But the amount of work and hassle to find an hosting service or self hosting this service was always a blocker.
Laziness at finest.
So when they started to blackmail me that I must use my credit card in order to use their previously free service. I decided to kick my ass.
I was already a ProtonMail user for another experiment with this service. After half an hour setting up everything in godaddy following proton mail how-to I finally migrated my own domain to ProtonMail, happily paying for their services.
The only thing is that as far as I didn’t pay a penny to google, I’m unable to connect to my account and backup 10years of mail. Thank you google.
Funny thing is that I can still connect to my account console mgt and succeeded to save all my keystore from chrome use. I’m still able to use chrome with the same account, except my email is not anymore managed by google but proton.

And think a little out of the box of your modern, sterilized, way of thinking.
Also, it is well known that Musk hiring process emphazises on "doer" profile. Not only the activities of his company are highly seducing to high intellectual profiles, Musk over select them based on the "doer" criteria. People highly intelligent, but emprisonned only in theorical masturbation are not selected.
"Show me your code" is nothing different than "show me the rocket you build in your yard"
Lot of smart people can talk about rocket. Only a few are doing rocket.
Lot of smart people can talk about code, only a few are coding.
So Musk is just trying to detect who are the 20% coders from the dev staff that are doing the 80% of the work. In order to fire the 80% remaining as promised.
This is the first time he bought a big company which was not designed from origin by his paradigm.
Most of big company are kindergarden (to be nice to them). Musk now is turning twitter from kindergarden to efficient, profitable structure, in regards to Tesla or SpaceX.
This is quite a big challenge, as far as Elon's paradigms were not part of the inner culture, staffing policies of the company, since birth.
Let's see how it will go.
ps: If once, you place yourself in the field of complexity, collective intelligence, group dynamic, you first understand that companies structure are the only allowed (accepted) form of experimentation by the capitalism system.
The family structure has been totally destroyed by promoting all kind of law attacking the inner mecanism of family structure viability. Therefore blocking all possibility of collective intelligence from it.
The religious structure has been totally destroyed by instillating all kind of memetic virus such as new-age bullshit to sabotage all the core mechanism of religious structure to offer any fertile environment of collective intelligence.
The only allowed space is the business and company. In such paradigm, every company is an experiment of collective intelligence, group dynamic, and complex system.
Twitter, or any kind of social media have a special place in this experiment. As far as their main business is collective intelligence itself, (introduction of recursion principle).
So for all peoples asking themselves why Musk made this purchase. It's seems pretty logical. As far as the efficiency he demonstrated to design very fertile environment for the emergence of a outclassing collective intelligence, demonstrates that he is well aware of the topic. And purchasing twitter will only (i hope) allow him to enter the metalevel of collective intelligence experiments.
