Ridiculous and deranged take. No one on the right will endorse mass-shooters. You have plenty of people on the left willing to make excuses for their looters because "muh socioeconomic factors".

I’ve always questioned this assumption. Doesn’t the factory do a burn-in test for the engine and drivetrain? I’d be shocked if they really were delivered without any basic bathtub-curve test performed.

These types of views/takes honestly are not productive. Security is never 100%. If location-based blocking defeats 98% of the low hanging fruit threats, it is most likely worth it. You can then filter down your more costly countermeasures to the 2% of the remaining pie.
Similar reality exists regarding security through obscurity. Is it perfect? No; nothing is. But if the cost to even understand the system in play is very expensive, that alone is a deterrent to low-effort / drive-by attackers.

It’s really not that special in my eyes. It’s a miniature space shuttle, minus humans. The purpose is 100% classified but you can guess the usual suspects (advanced sensor testing, experimental payloads, testing space warfare / asset manipulation, etc).
I really doubt they have put humans inside of it, given that they have kept it up there for year-long plus periods over its lifetime.

MPLS didn’t really address latency issues in the core - it scaled PE to PE connectivity by removing full table lookups at the P layer and replacing it with truncated labels.
However the main long-staying effect of MPLS is enabling L2 and L3 VPNs (VRFs).
