You're describing an improvised surgery on a living organism. Developing a complex system involving humans that is productive and doesn't collapse is extremely hard, so if it ain't broke don't fix it.

I always struggle to understand such an anthropic principle type of reasoning.

So what? How is this [proportion of possible universes in which we can read the failed prediction] logically relevant to our universe?

It just doesn't click for me, it smells like some additional premise is smuggled, possibly the same as in the simulation hypothesis argument.

For the future of past mathematics, it says nothing about the current future. Also, open science can be nonsufficient and unnecessary but still extremely beneficial and desirable.

Are robots and bioweapons really the threat that AI-doomers focus on? What about stuxnet-type attacks on all the critical infrastructure? Generally destroying is much easier than creating.

What i meant is analyze fixes for already reported and fixed vulnerabilities before the updated version is pushed to users.

I would guess it's now trivial for attackers to have an llm analyse every new commit to chromium repo linking to an issue that's 403 for security reasons, but maybe I'm missing something.

Diversity of cuisine, language and lifestyle is great but at the limit peace is a cultural value in itself, you can't always have peace with a culture that doesn't believe you're as deserving of freedom and wellbeing as they are, and there have been plenty of those over history.
