I've worked on the new Alternative to Wireshark - TCPViewer https://tcpviewer.proxyman.com/
Native macOS app, and build on top of Wireshark Libs, so you can see packet details like Wireshark, and it's much easier to use.
Open Source and License under GPL-2.0 at https://github.com/ProxymanApp/TCPViewer

I'm building an alternative to Lulu. Native macOS app, strictly follows Apple Human Interface Guidelines, powered by Network Extension for better performance. I also try to convert IPs to domains (LuLu only shows the IPs) from DNS or get the SNI on the wire. It allows you to monitor all traffic from your Mac and block it if needed.
Simple license, no subscription, perpetual license with 2 years of updates.
https://tinyshield.proxyman.com/

Hi,
I built a small feature to help you generate a OpenAPI YAML or HTML Documentation Page with few click. It's built-in in the app, no need to install any dependencies.
You can import your HAR file, then exporting it.
Video demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-lMFM4-ZlA

It's not as simple as it sounds, it requires a lot of code to capture Python traffic with charles-proxy. For example, you might modify your python code to use a Proxy and accept a self-signed Charles's certificate.
If you need a 1-click solution, no dependencies, and no code's required, check out Proxyman with Auto-Setup: https://docs.proxyman.io/automatic-setup/automatic-setup
Works with all popular Python libs: request, aiohttp, http.client, urllib3, etc
* Disclaimer: I'm Noah, creator of Proxyman. I know a pain point when using Charles, and decided to build a new one, to make life easier. Hope it helps you.

I've never tried it. Maybe you should give it a try. If it doesn't work, please create a ticket at https://github.com/ProxymanApp/Proxyman/issues
I'm happy to support you.

Thanks for the shoutout. I would not disclose the macOS revenue. We used to publish it as a #buildinpulic movement, but not anymore.

Thanks. It's not a side project anymore. We've established a legal company in the US, have a small team, and commit full-time to it. Currently, we've working on the Windows & Linux version.

If you have iOS/Android development experience, you can look at the Developer sector, which is relatively niche IMO.
I've developed the iOS/iPadOS app, Proxyman for iOS [0], which gains steadily ~2k recurring revenue every month. Basically, it's an iOS app that helps you to capture and decrypt HTTP/HTTPS traffic on your phone. The app is needed if you need to inspect traffic from your app.
Because it's an iOS app, published on AppStore, you can provide a subscription pricing model: e.g. $4.99/month, $39.99/year, or lifetime $99.
I also develop the macOS version, but it's a huge market, which is out of context.
- [0]: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/proxyman/id1551292695
