Off-topic and may be found rude - I find multiple instances of "Kahn" in the comments. Is it really that difficult to put in the effort to learn the correct spelling of "Khan" specially when it is everywhere in TFA, the post title, and other comments?

As a random lurker, since Nikita took over I mostly only see racist, misogynistic, and pornographic content other than Elon Musk's tweets.

Twitter used to be a better place than this. I hope he is happy with the engagement that he brought on to the site.

It's an open source software but I think we have to start restricting the definition of FOSS to remove software that have a requirement for continuous to sign a CLA and the organization is VC funded.

This is something that I noticed after doing a Google search on a new machine without uBlock Origin installed. I was unable to identify that the first link was an advertisement to a competitor's product of the brand I looked up. I remember adverts used to be highlighted really well in Google searches earlier.

If I am unable to differentiate between an ad and a search result then neither can a lot of non technical users including my parents.

Can't wait to see ChatGPT ads

I used to get overjoyed and would tell my partner how amazing programmer I am every time I built something that felt difficult at the beginning.

Now for every problem I know Claude/Codex will do it, and they do. I just don't get that feeling on finishing 10 features now.

I think the issue is the lack of consent. Whether a service I use is protecting my website from scrapers or feeding everything to scrapers, some of us would prefer that it takes our informed consent before doing so.

Because a human fails in a known way. If a human does not have expertise in domain X or tech Y, they will fail there and the expectation is that they will fail.

With an LLM you never know where it can fail. There is no domain expertise for an LLM. It can fail in a miserable way in the same domain it worked spectacularly for.
