Docker isn't used because it helps run unstable programs.
It's used because it combines the entire environment so I know the app runs the same locally as it does when deployed, without needing to install or configure anything on the server.
You just start the image and it runs.

Requiring a subscription violates the right to repair. Even for backwater places where the right to repair isn't enshrined in law (like the usa), people still know what the right to repair is, and often refuse to use a paid service what what ought to have been included in the base price.

That's a great point. We should roll up some of the privacy laws we've made into actual rights secured by amendments, instead of just wishing we weren't living in a police state.
I'm still upset that we have a TCPA to protect consumers from spam calls, and then refuse to ever enforce it.

I don't think most polling qualifies as statistics, without providing info like selection criteria or number of respondents. Otherwise we'll walk right into another situation like when Trump won an election while polling in near last place.
Or maybe I want something a little more significant than "we asked around the newsroom, and 35% of fox news reporters approve of the current administration". Cool, thanks, but that's not helpful or even a useful datapoint.
