I'd be really interested to see how your set-up works. Would it be possible for you to share your files/code and a short description of how you implemented your set-up? I am happy for you to remove/sanitize sensitive details relating to your portfolio. However, I would love to understand how I can develop a solution like this for myself.
Thank you for your help.

Lovely design, but unfortunately loading times are super slow for me... The header and footer loads fine, but the loading graphic for the middle section was turning for approx. 60-90 seconds before the content loaded :(
Then, once the content is loaded, the animation between the "About Framous > Select a layout > Select Photos > Select a Frame > Get Framous!" pages also takes too long, which spoils the user experience in my opinion.
Great start though. If you can improve these issues, I think you will have a really nice site.

This could also be an awesome way to disrupt the courier business in cities.
e.g. sender logs a job online (& provides payment details), sender prints a barcode sticker, sender drops off package with the building doorman/concierge and/or walks to designated quadcopter landing zone adjacent building, outgoing package scanned and loaded onto quad-copter, quad-copter delivers package to recipient's landing zone, quad-copter/system sends notification to recipient to advise that package has been delivered, recipient goes to quad-copter landing zone to collect package, recipient scans barcode or provides electronic signature to acknowledge receipt.
Terms & Conditions: Anyone who implements this idea (or minor variation) must give hook and I a $1 royalty each for every job logged ;)

While, the total amount invested by YC is $5 million.
Very impressive results when you consider that YC takes about a 6% stake for its initial investment. Congratulations to all involved.

"This class examines the elements of entrepreneurial finance, focusing on technology-based start-up ventures, and the early stages of company development. It addresses key questions which challenge all entrepreneurs: how much money can and should be raised; when should it be raised and from whom; what is a reasonable valuation of the company; and how funding should be structured. The subject aims to prepare students for these decisions, both as entrepreneurs and venture capitalists."

What should I do?

Hi all,
I am currently developing a game application for iOS devices, however a competitor has just released a very similar game using the exact name I wish to use (e.g. It's like I am developing a black-jack card game and a competitor has just released a similar card game for sale in the app store called "black-jack").
Although I'm obviously biased, I think my game is a superior implementation and is ultimately a much more polished app. Accordingly, I believe that my app is a better product overall and would be obviously different if customers were choosing between my app and my competitor's app (i.e. similar functionality/gameplay, but completely different user interface).
The problem is I want to keep the name if possible since the name describes the game itself, I have secured a relevant domain name, and the name is still available in the Android market (which would be my second target market).
What would you suggest?
* 1. Should I persist and submit the app under the "shared" name? (Wouldn't a submission like this be rejected straight away?)
* 2. Should I change my app's name subtlety to differentiate my product? (e.g. something like "black-jack.com's black-jack" or "iBlack-Jack" instead of just "black-jack" which is already taken)
* 3. Should I just cut my losses with the app store and concentrate on the Android Market?
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
niqolas

The concept of "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you?" is implicitly biased as it project's your worldview/morals/values/etc onto the "others" in question.
If the goal is to understand, support and/or show respect for the uncontacted tribes, I think the focus should be adjusted to: "Do unto others as they want you to do unto them".

+1 Impressive site. Clean design sets this site apart as a great example in this nascent niche.
One constructive criticism: I would add some more space around the "Search" functionality. This area is a little cluttered at present (too close to the preview image on the right and the high level process text/images below) and my eye I think you would improve conversions by emphasising this section a little more (since performing a search should be the "call to action" for visitors).

1. 5 guests only (excluding you as host)
2. guests can be living or dead
3. famous, infamous and/or "recognisable" guests are preferred (NOTE: It's YOUR fantasy so lesser known guests are accepted, but please provide a short background/description to help readers)
Can't wait to hear your suggestions :)
