Ballistic intercepts are still very difficult and not always certain to work. Interception is only possible within a specific trajectory window with limited number of shots.
The missile defense we commonly hear about these days is used against lower speed , shorter range and altitude missiles:

India has had the ability to reach LEO and beyond for a while now. So bringing down a nuke anywhere on the planet wouldn't be that difficult for them. That goes for any country that has LEO launch capabilities. Of course miniaturization of the nuclear payload is another matter.

It takes some effort, but you can get the recommendation algo to clean up your feed. My youtube account of 15 years was flooded with political content. Mainly just opinion stuff and lot of AI slop. So I just unsubbed all channels and started clicking the don't recommend this channel or I don't like this content. It took couple of months, but my recommended videos are back to what I liked watching. Mainly dev and hobby stuff. For channels that I do like that are non-political, I just keep bookmarked links that go directly to their channel page.

Looking at current hd prices, I keep kicking myself for giving away several 3tb and couple of 4tb drives I had in my unraid server few years ago when I started upgrading my array to 8 and 12tb drives. At the time, a drive slot in my server was more valuable to me than a mere 3tb drive. i could have kept them for emergencies if any one of my array drives fail.

How many cameras do you have on your frigate instance? i’ve been running frigate for couple years and seemed to have hit a limit of 6 cameras. 3 of them are wireless and 3 are connected to Ethernet. Mainly adding any more seems to adversely impact detection. I suspect it was maybe because the coral TPU board was hitting its limits. So I recently switched to intel arc a380 for inference. I’m going to add more cameras soon to see it helps.

>I have to wonder if Elon has spent too much social capital for this kind of cult of meme stock strategy to work again.
If social capital was an indicator , then Tesla stock would've cratered 2 years ago. Despite demand for tesla vehicles dropping. I don't think social capital matters these days.
