By placing an ad with a green "Start Now" button that goes to a spammy browser extension download page? Users probably think that's the button to download the desktop application.

At least that's the ad I get on that page.

I have a simple private GitHub repository where I take notes, journal, etc. in a series of .txt files.

I have separate work and personal laptops, so I just push and pull from the repo.

Maybe not what you're looking for, but that's what I use.
