Unfortunately, India's poorest still don't get govt benefits due for them: A few gobble up all the caste-based reservation from the govt. I have seen many people who have made a career out of talking about caste all the time.

I know more than 3 people in the US, who talk about caste all the time (as in that's their job now) but grew up in very privileged families.

Alternatively (and I know many folks won't like this idea), Reddit can offer to buy out Apollo and the other 2-3 top iOS and Android apps with a generous Discounted Cash Flow market value; These Apps have put a lot of effort in development over the years and they have helped make Reddit better and more accessible.

Same. Testing is an issue. I bought into the Hotwire idea on a recent project. But I can’t see how it’s any different then SSR + jQuery. They have some nice ideas, but it requires every team member to know the whole thing top to down. Backend engineers can’t always be burdened with taking care of HTML/templating/Writing JS specific functions. Feels almost wrong to me at how hard it has been sold.

The awareness is growing now, especially in the internet generation. A lot of people in rural areas are quite out of touch with basic healthcare, let alone mental healthcare. India is too big to generalise: from Instagram influencers to beggars (watching whom will break your heart), there's a whole everything.

Some very sharp networking engineers that I've worked with did hold a CCNP or higher certificate. They are not necessarily a bad indicator, but not a sure shot confirmation of ability either.

Yeah! I hate the idea of retroactive taxes. But the way big-tech blocks others, there should be some compensation to the things they inhibited.

(Should oil companies be penalised for the damage they have done to the environment just in terms of promoting plastic?)

You need to consider whether there's a difference between physical mail and Email (esp. Gmail)? And whether Google's business model is monopolistic because its 'software' over the internet.

May I point out that much of the 'positivity' on Instagram is pretty toxic too. There are people just showing the best parts of life and abusive people re-posting the kindest quotes. It all feels like smoke and mirrors to me.

Which might as well be greed — after all 30% of 5Mn = 1.5Mn USD. They make a lot of money by allowing scammy apps to continue operating.

I hope these cases becomes a major reason why they have to open up the App Store.
