When I first moved to Linux, these installers always gave me trouble (even in their target distro, Rocky Linux).
Here are the scripts I made to fix and automate the process.

Most people affected by this (minors) won't have a credit card to pay for legit VPNs

No, but it does help incentivize people to do those things using transit, or at non-rush hours and gives less traffic to everyone else.
It doesn't work if there aren't alternatives, of course. But NY and London do have them.

Those scooter riders suck! Both for riding irresponsibly AND especially for riding away.
But these incidents can be reduced (if not eliminated) with a bike lane where they could be separated from both pedestrians and cars.

I actually learned to count on binary with my fingers at some point. So i can technically count to 32 on one hand and 1024 using both.
It's been useful a handful of times (less than 5 times, not 32).
But it's fun, and not that hard once you learn the pattern.

Can't add RAM to any Mac (except the Pro, I think).
You have to buy it from Apple with all the RAM it'll ever have. Which is why they overprice the upgrades so much

I've used the xReal glasses as a screen replacement and they're pretty good. They're not my first choice if I can set the computer on a surface and use the screen, but they're great for waiting areas without tables, or to watch something while laying down, which was nice when I was sick.
My friend says that when I just have the keyboard on my lap and the glasses on I look like a blind man on a computer, that's fine with me :-)

I don't use them. I do pay for the version without ads of the services I use them most though (YouTube, Nebula, Reddit, using Kagi instead of Google, etc). I happen to not use sites that don't offer a version without ads enough for them to annoy me OR I've used FB and it's so annoying that I just stopped using it, which is an improvement on my life anyway.
All in all i spend about $30/month to not have ads while supporting the sites I use, which I think it's pretty reasonable.
