Use the it versions. The other versions are base models without post-training. E.g. base models are trained to regurgitate raw wikipedia, books, etc. Then these base models are post-trained into instruction-tuned models where they learn to act as a chat assistant.

Git is a decentralized version control system. Creating a new project is just a `git init` away.
Of course centralized VCS are less popular. You need to setup a server first then wrangle with the server every time you create a new project -> fewer projects -> fewer users.

Somewhat related, Meta recently introduced SysPTW which is basically frame generation for the Quest:
> We’re introducing System Positional TimeWarp (SysPTW) from Depth-From-Stereo to Quest headsets. PTW uses real-time scene depth to reduce visual judder and lag when apps drop frames, making movement in VR smoother and more comfortable. [...] You can expect a more stable experience, especially in demanding social and gaming apps.
The "demanding social apps" they aren't naming here is almost certainly VRChat which is poorly optimized on the Quest.

Neo's RAM is Package on Package, it is literally soldered on top of the A18.
In fact, Neo's Mainboard is in the same ballpark as a Desktop RAM DIMM, which means replacing the whole Mainboard is in the same as replacing the RAM on a Desktop from an environmental perspective.

So basically, you install the Linux Dev VM with 5 clicks in the settings. You get a Debian VM with nested virtualization support and seamless Wayland, VirGL and USB passtrough.
I don't know MacOS, but comming from Linux customizability was mostly okay. Obviously there was also some getting used to. The desktop environment has decent window management and support for virtual desktops which I use heavily.
