It's about app-ifying the desktop. Instead of opening a browser, then remembering that you have a bookmark and clicking it or googling the site you are looking for, the idea is to have a step less and just click something on your desktop or taskbar (like on a mobile device)

At least in Bulgaria, 60% of people don't vote. Granted that we aren't that socially active as a country, I think that any amount of parties wouldn't bring much difference. Until the system starts working again, as in convicting criminals, preventing policymakers from benefiting from "timely" investments and overall bringing the wealth gap down, I don't think that you'd be able to reach all of the people

Sure, but the rest of the stuff (in what I consider salad base - tomatoes, cucumbers, maybe peppers?) is really small so it doesn't matter. A greek salad has cheese, yeah, that's a high calorie input but you don't eat much of it

Eh, when you say a salad in Europe, there's a 90-95% chance that its only dressing is olive oil (and not much of it, just for the texture) and not heavy stuff like ranch or french dressing.

Well it's not just the sugars. Processed food gets a lot of preservatives (some natural, some made in a lab) which make the food last longer and "look better". In Bulgaria (I think this is an EU directive though) you can see the preservatives on the nutrition info and they all have an ID (E###). Typically the more Es that something has, the more processed it has been and is seen as less healthy.

I guess this is expected when rates are going up? People will want to be on a job to avoid defaulting on a loan/mortgage. Is it good that the current job market allows for such low figures? My initial thought is that people currently will put up with a lot more bullshit so that they make sure that the next due payment can be paid. Some unionization efforts might suffer from this IMO

I don't think anyone inherently wants censorship. It comes down to it when popularity rises and certain standards are expected of it. Would I mind if I had a 8 year old and he saw "fuck" on a website/social media? No I wouldn't but some people decided that we should have a specific linguistic moral code, so the capitalists try to walk the path of least resistance on this topic (just complying)

Isn't it trained on years old data? Also, isn't the threshold for correctness like 90%? Imagine being the US government and basing your strategy on something that's 90% correct. That's (for a government agency) an amazingly big chance for either under/over shooting the enemy strategy

I've always wondered if this is the reason why still a lot of people hold the belief that "blue collar jobs are real jobs". Could it be that it's a subconscious biological trait that (over-)rewards physical activity? Even further, it feels like such beliefs are held by men much more often. Which would suggest that, subconsciously, we might know what will increase our chances of successfully producing offspring(speaking in strictly evolutionary terms).
I also find it fascinating how nature evolved us that way. Imagine 30-50k years ago, the better hunter you are (which would be tied to running longer distances) the better chance of producing offspring. I wonder how 10k years of our current lives will make humans' bodies evolve

What is the end goal here? Cut out as many people as you possibly can without the website burning down? Spend 0 on RnD? Is his goal to make Twitter profitable and, if that were possible, then start gradually spending on RnD?
I also find it kind of weird that almost all development is ceasing, yet he is trying to find more ways to charge people. The optics of it is a bit weird to me.

I'm not American, but when we were in up to the 9th grade, every break between classes we would play football (soccer) outside. Almost the whole class (our schools aren't like american HS where you go to a class with different people every period, we are like a "unit" and we do all our classes always together) would play football (soccer) every period. Most of the boys from other classes didn't do this. We always went sweaty into class, and I guess we breathed a lot at the beginning of every class.
