And really when you think about it, all AI is is just the a statical recombination of (almost) everything that (almost) everyone has written.
So it's a kind of mechanical recombination of ideas.

Security Now with Steve Gibson. Great podcast about the latest goings on in the tech world and often diverts into neat deep dives into technical topics.

An extent presentation (IMHO) by Sam Vaknin on how the very way modern social networks operate even down to their structure are deeply destructive and anti-human. Hate has been and always will be the easiest and most monetizable emotion used by platform operators. Hate requires little complexity or nuance making it ideal for short form viral content where every second counts.
The "Internet Hate Machine" is real and it was created that way by design by anti social deeply narcissistic nerds.
Just wait until the AI "layer" gets fast enough to rewrite the web in real time. Text, Photos, Videos, even real time phone calls will soon be in the grasp of the corporations. Forever locking us into our own personal prisons, controlled silos of information perfectly crafted and tailored to extract the maximum value where truth is not just hard to know but is imposable to know.

I'm not sure about computer image generation but you can (relatively) easily fingerprint images generated by digital cameras due to sensor defects. I'll bet there is a similar problem with PC image generation where even without the EXIF data there is probably still too much side channel data leakage.

The groupthink is real, and it's coming for a skull near you.
But in all seriousness I think it's a mix of bots on the dead internet leading the monkey see monkey do paradigm. If you see 80 out of 100 people doing a thing then you get swept up in the flood. Even if 50 of those 80 are bots.

That's because AIs can't survive by eating their own output. The only solution they know to ward off model collapse is more human input. They need you to use AI to feed the beast. And if it's built into your office apps, they get that data for free.
That's part of why every service and system are getting integrations, It's not for us it's for data harvesting.
In the end that's what "Windows Recall" will be used for. Access to every moment of every user for every app... Can you imagine the training data that would provide? An AI that could run any program ever created.

For me it's a gradient, depending on how tired I am. I can go from fairly vivid mental image to full on seeing things with my eyes closed. It's that window when falling asleep that is the most impactful visually and very close to lucid dreaming.
So I would say yes, it is like you are seeing things but in your "minds eye".
If you can "hear" music in your head when thinking about a song it feels about the same as "seeing" without seeing. It's imagery but from a different place.
