<p>For large organization data the keys would need to be stored within the organization, not with one particular user as in the case of your personal PII needs.<p>And then you'd still need to worry about digital sovereignity for the keys.</p>

<p>I've been there. When Compiz on Linux was all the rage. I grew out of it in like 2-3 months and turned everything off. The problem is with Apple you don't get to turn it off.</p>

<p>They toned down the effects in Golden Gate but the backend is doing the same amount of work to blend all that pointless stuff in.<p>You'd get the performance back if they gave up on the translucently to the point of removing the code.</p>

<p>Not in my experience as an european cc user (where non 3d secure is rejected by default) using stripe based (us located mostly) stores.<p>The ones i've tried to pay on bull rush to charging me with no 2FA and my bank just rejects them.</p>

<p>What AI is (a part of) HN against?<p>The actual uses?<p>The "it will get sentient next year and take over the world" bullshit?<p>These two things are simply unrelated, and my experience with coding assistants (that I do use daily, because they are useful) says whatever OpenAI and Anthropic say in their marketing is 95% lies and hyperbole.<p>Any technology that is marketed as a religion will get the same reaction from me.</p>
