Interesting question to ask that then calls for decisive action : actively resisting endless content feeds. Is there any other way ? Can we trust ourselves to be stronger than the appeal of our smartphones combined with ultra attractive videos feeds ?

I used to manage but the covid period broke all my safeguards and I now often ask myself not 'what is this', but 'who am i ?'

Who am I when i've spent 2 hours scrolling a video feed mindlessly, read tens of pointless comments from people that have no existence whatsoever from my perspective ?

I often look at people's phones in the metro, most of them are using tiktok or something similar, observing how braindead is the content on other people's feed really is a wake-up call for me to act on what I must call a crippling addiction

When people ask me why I like being the founder of a company, I often reply with a small story: when we built our first saas for SMB, we billed .50€ per API call and we plugged those calls to a Slack bot. Man how great it felt in the firsts weeks when this bot would send a message around 20 times a day: the sound of finally having built something valuable that would generate value even if I'd be out of my computer, running or anything else really.

You're absolutely right. It's saddening to see how little regulation there is, or even how little focus there is on regulating business in space. I don't want to sound naive, but it's frustrating that us citizens of any countries have no weight on such important matters. All for the Musks and Bezos' of this world I guess.

Yet triaging questions is often made simpler by provinding another type of UI, like simple buttons in a funnel for example. That's what makes chatbots gimmicky in my opinion.
