Knowning little about the specs required for automotive grade it could be that the tech couldn't handle the vibration, temp extremes/changes and other hardships that car parts encounter. Just a theory.

You don't even have to carry it over, just require the original signed file in a competition. Though whenever you look at security you always have to consider what happens when it gets cracked.

"They" being the Federal Reserve, who's mandate is to balance unemployment and inflation. So yes, Cars, homes and everything else in the Fed's basket of goods needs to stop going up by 6%/mo. The Fed is limited in their toolset, so in order to do that they can raise the federal funds rate basically causing any loans given to have a minimum APR (Why lend to Jack for 5%, when Uncle Sam will give you 6%). So if you're taking out a loan, your payments are going to be more expensive. Thats going to nuke lower return investments and make borrowing to grow your business harder.

They had 16 companies in this survey that were remote, 2 that were "office", And the rest were some form of hybrid. They considered anything other than full remote "some office". This could easily get skewed if one of these office companies had 10x'd their revenue.

And even though they grew faster, the attrition for Office was higher.

DRM and Content contracts. They can't just throw 4k into an unsecured environment because they need to make a best effort to enforce that their 4k content isn't pirated.

That would be on the executive and the company to negotiate that aspect in the contract deal. Executive contracts almost always have lawyers behind them.

I think the EU had chip and tap to pay before apple. So the over there Apple looks like it implemented a solution and then blocked competitors from using the platform with already established payment terminals. In the US, the optics are very different because Google, Samsung and others came way after apple took the reigns and drove adoption of tap to pay.

Its basically like writing code. Aladdin was prototyped, Proof of concept, then put into production. So if anything needed a complete re-write, it wouldn't affect final production.

Hayao seems to doing continuous refactoring, so as long as you don't need to edit too many scenes already drawn you can potentially come out with a good final product while giving production as much time as possible.

Not at all, Patent is there for protection. So if you invent something that requires capital, but are a non-practicing entity, you can't enforce your patent. So lets say a bunch of companies start to practice your patent, all of them now have incentive to buy your patent because if any of them own it, none of their competitors can use it anymore.

There are battery adapters from amazon and 3rd party batteries available readily. Your argument doesn't hold water.

And oem batteries have systems in place to prevent over-use, over-heating and will shut off to prevent battery damage. So its less like DRM for batteries and more like each tool is designed along side its battery for performance.

I disagree that its an awful idea. If anything its a pretty great idea with a lackluster execution. There are alot of problems it can solve but it needs to have a killer app first to drive adoption. "Contextually sensitive" actions are decent but not the killer app.

As someone who played a lot of that game I can tell you it was not luck dependent at all. Entirely skill based, there was even a daily practice mode which would net you free plays. If the claw grabbed the piece it wouldn't drop it unless it got to the end. Most boards could easily be done with 5 plays.

Nintendo has kept scummy micro transactions to a minimum for as long as I can remember. Even Pokemon Picross had a maximum spend on micro transactions (after $40, any further premium currency was free)

I can put some perspective on this. We got priced out of the market in Feb. According to the bank, we can't get a mortgage where the overall cost of the payments on all our debt can't exceed 41% of our pre-tax income. Given that our student loans eat about 20% of our pre-tax income, that means we only have 20% of our income left for housing. Rising interest rates means that more of our house payment goes to interest which means less of it is left for principal, so we cannot afford the same home we could last Oct. The tax incentives used to mean that we could deduct a good chunk of our housing costs from our taxes and use some of that money to live, bringing it inline with what we would pay for rent. However, that changed and made renting easier on us financially.

High student loan payments and high mortgage rates means that the only thing left to give is the price of the home. Or the bank can be cool with us leveraging ourselves to 50+% income.

Programming is automated by default. Ideally, you should only have to write each piece of code once. Which is why your job probably isn't "programming" its "requirements gathering, product defining, bug interpretation, and a little bit of programming here and there". Your job is to translate human instructions into machine instructions. Human instructions are very vague. Once we can automate this we pretty much just have hard AI.

I see little difference between this and a community college degree. Community college CS associates can teach you everything you need to keep yourself up to date on basic algorithms and enough theory to get you ready for industry. It has the added benefit of also transitioning into a 4yr degree if you need it. All for about $20k. Some of the best engineers I know took 2 years at CC and then moved to a 4 year degree.
