I use Android because it lets me install whatever I want on my phone, which it does not seem to me, controversial. The phone is either mine or it is not. I don't want Google's protection. Particularly, if I can't refuse it.

Why not Alt+F5 or Alt+F3?"

I just decided that the function keys and right Alt plus a key would be mine to bind to whatever I wanted. I am using a program called Clavier+ on Windows, and some transparent keycaps for labels for function keys. I press F1 for an AI, and Right Alt + E for text editor for example.

From the point of view of an end user, I remember versioning on the Vax using EDT when I spent hours on end entering data from our local emergency department in quite large text files. Over the years, every now and then I have been looking for this functionality on Windows.
Dropbox and OneDrive do this nowadays, in that I can just right click a file and see the different versions and change to a previous one. I work with long documents I write, and this functionality has saved the day a few times.

Psychiatrist here. What the author of the article describes sounds familiar to doctors in many specialties. Happily, I am not that far from retirement. You can't imagine how many burnt out doctors there are everywhere.

I really enjoyed reading Programming Pearls by John Bentley many years ago. (Not working in IT sadly)

I spend many happy hours copying, changing, and pasting text to Ms Word documents on Windows. Eventually, I am using the middle mouse button to paste without format, and ctrl-v to paste with format. (Using X-mouse button control) Power toys has a setting that says it pastes as text too, but if I ask it to use ctrl-v, it gives me an warning saying that there may be issues if I want to paste a picture.
