Most DRM / banking apps work fine for me through the browser and you can add them to your home screen. Android / Samsung Pay will stop working, but if you have a Garmin watch, you can still pay with that.

Ok, and what if you use your Ledger seed phrase to connect / recover on Exodus? Hardware wallet or not, if the recovery seed is exposed, are you in trouble?

Its a new 'decentralized' blockchain network. I believe SnarkOS is the virtual machine used to run (d)apps (exchanges, games, markets). Most popular blockchains (Bitcoin, Ethereum) are psuedo-anonymous. And Aleo aims to be private by default, with the use of zero-knowledge protocols.

There are private blockchains like Monero, however they're some-what limited to just the cryptocurrency use-case.

The network has been under heavy due to the recent popularity of inscriptions and BRC-20 tokens.

Any thoughts on the viability of the layer 2 Lightning Network? Is it enough for global adoption?

Try Bottles (use bottles.com).. I smashed through the Diablo 4 Beta on VanillaOS and Bottles and can also confirm that Overwatch, Hearthstone, StarCraft and Diablo 3 works. The scaling / DPI for the BattleNet client is a little small on my 4K monitor, but other than that, it works well.

If you’re keen on moving away from Windows gaming, try VanillaOS. Preinstalled game drivers and apps, flatpaks and ABRoot for other Linux sub-systems.

Proton GE and Bottles works well for 95% of my ‘Windows’ games. I have no trouble running Steam, Blizzard and EA stuff.

WEB3 refers to the web on Blockchain. Without extra config, Brave allows you to connect to blockchain DNS which takes you to IPFS websites. It also has a built in blockchain wallet called Metamask, which is used to interact with decentralized apps (Dapps). Some popular dapps are used for decentralized finance (DeFi), NFT's, play-to-earn games.

Almost there.. each network has its own decentralized exchange where you can swap and buy tokens. We are just missing contracts for derivatives such as futures and leverage trading.

That or maybe just a few colluding mining pools. The network is only 'secure' because mining cartels own most of the specialised hardware, increasing difficultly. ETH 2.0 starts to pool all that power back abit, by allowing others to compete for staking rewards.
