Spoken like someone who hasn’t met people like that.
They’re significantly more one dimensional than the wage slave tbh. At least the wage slave has the character of resentment.

To be honest, most executives wish they could fire 10% of their staff. Once you get to even 30-40 people, 10% of your staff are almost inevitably dead weight. Unfortunately you can't mass cull without causing morale issues.
This period is just giving us a chance to shed those people without cultural ramifications.

The problem is you could have said the same in the 90s for veggie burgers. Existing and slowly expanding doesn't mean it hasn't been a flop - especially considering the monumental amount of capital & hype that was put behind plant based meat
From that perspective, it's definitely been a flop (so far). Jury is still out on long-term lab grown meat.

I don't know how you equate "speculative value" with "valid projects". Bitcoin has value because people are long on crypto. "Long" has an end date - just because it's 50 years instead of 10 years doesn't mean it's not coming.

With most technologies, I find the heuristic of "how will this technology help improve your average suburban consumer's life, or those serving them" helpful. Internet? Great. Smartphones? Yep. Electric Vehicles? Kind of.
Crypto has never had a real answer to that question. The opportunities of crypto are things like you owning your money instead of the bank, fast transaction speeds and anonymity - nobody but a tiny percentage of people give a crap about any of this. Certainly not enough to supplant the most prevalent piece of infrastructure in modern society, the fiat.

Nonsense. The "art" you're creating is derivative of art other people made which you saw and learned from/incorporated into your own work.
More to the point, much of modern art is derivative nonsense that lacks soul - which is why it's modern artists who are scared of AI. Their work is easy to mimic.
AI isn't going to replace a Van Gogh anytime soon.
