I've got the X3 (not having a usb-c hasn't been a problem at all for me). And I'll probably buy whatever they release next if the price keeps being in that range. The only thing I want is probably a better display (as in whiter, more DPI, colors), yeah and the battery life is awesome, I barely have to charge it at all, I don't want this to change! I really wish they just keep improving on quality of what's already there and not add new things like touch screen, android and whatnot.

This is how I understand the whole heohaskell thing: some guy comes out of nowhere, spends some time picking fonts for neohaskell's website and then starts churning out github-tickets for this-is-what-a-better-haskell-is-supposed-to-look-like instead of actually doing stuff :)

> Surely whatever money these guys spend buying these zero-days, Apple is rich enough to increase their bounties large enough to attract them to right side instead?
Apple is a commercial organisation with a sole purpose of generating profit. And the bounties are at their equilibrium points already (or at least supposed to be).
Apple is rich enough sure, but they will only spend money if this makes Apple even richer.

My understanding is that Datalog dialects are basically query-languages. It's just that the data is being stored in a different way, compared to traditional RDBMs.
But I am struggling to find any practical examples when Datalog really shines.
I feel like Datalog could be a useful tool if I only could recognise problems it is especially well suited for.

There was a nice comment Prime made that it's not only about the ownership model, many people come to Rust for it's type system.
I have a feeling that far too many people go do Rust while what they actually need is OCaml - it's fast, has a nice type system and you don't have to think about lifetimes.

I'm seeing tons of remote job-postings that are US-remote.
Sometimes it's because of the timezones. But I was thinking that probably there is some legal/accounting problem so that the companies just don't want to bother with non-US entities and taking this burden myself would help with that?
Wondering if registering a Delaware company (or something like that) could help getting such a job?

re famous Elm error messages. This one I got when I was learning Elm 4-5 years ago.

Elm uses a different name for the “not equal” operator:

  5|   text "Hello!" != "balbla"
                     ^^
  Switch to (/=) instead.

Note: Our (/=) operator is supposed to look like a real “not equal” sign (≠). I
hope that history will remember (!=) as a weird and temporary choice.

Wondering if it is just me, or it really is passive-aggressive? It was the first red flag for me.
upd: formatting
