No one who understands ai can rely on it to help us learn. I provided one with 100 citations I wanted to standardize and it deleted 10 and made up 10 to replace them. Can’t imagine this being used to replace a textbook or even explain a textbook.

> I started from zero knowledge and spent months collaborating with AI agents as a learning experience. Every pixel and every function went through me. The AI translated what I asked for into code, but every decision was human.
This is so absurdly cringe and absolutely not coding. It’s like saying I spent absolutely trying to get ChatGPT to write my college essay for me. At the end of the writing period, I wrote nothing but decided which ai goop I liked best.

I read they either dump it into a local river while monitoring it or back to water treatment plant. Some datacenters have started reusing water but for some reason using it more than once is not appealing. Definitely the biggest problem is it’s not always a closed system and dumping it into a river potentially damages the river and makes the area lose their water. A percentage of the water is also lost via evaporation.
Source: https://dgtlinfra.com/data-center-water-usage/

Why is the entire blog aligned to the left on mobile? Even the background is to the left.
Though this article mostly discusses exact time, I find this idea very interesting in relation to my dissertation. Minor distraction probably causes me to waste a few minutes to tens of minutes to get focused again. Having a child and a partner that need help when I’m working from home has trained me to be able to power write in 1-2 hours what others do in a day. A bigger distraction like an issue causing stress might distract me for half of my work day. It’s not that I don’t want to continue but it’s hard to get back onto task just as one was.

> Rather than present useless analogies, engage with what's actually been presented. I didn't ask about your grandmother.
I guess I can’t make the statement that all HN users are not jerks.
Calling analogies useless because you won’t engage with others who disagree is rich.

> Whatever you think HN is, it isn't. People are not represented by a subdomain of an accelerator.
This is like something my racist grandmother says when I tell her a historical fact and she says you can’t tell me all plantation owners are racist because you didn’t meet them all or something similar ridiculous.
People can make statements from experience. Claiming HN doesn’t love blogs is out of touch.

That website was a very fun read :) what a cool place and so awesome to have so many friends to play with.
This line made me chuckle:
> I suggested to Jade: Should we move to Austin? Jade initially said no, because she wanted our kids to benefit from Palo Alto's school district. At the time, it was rated #12 in the nation. But, looking closer at the rankings revealed a surprise: The Eanes school district in Austin was #8. When I showed this to Jade, she changed her mind.
Could tell your wife was Chinese without even seeing the name. Chinese parents will made radical housing decisions for their children, even just to move from #12 to #8, lol. Love this.
