Yeah and communist society is about who has the best connections to the people in the party who decide who gets what. And socialist societies are about not making too much money because you'll lose the subsidies.

Same happens in brick and mortar stores. Im germany a drug store chain had a decade lomg partnership with an organic products / plant milk producer who did a lot to buold the market, and when the market actually got more mainstream and profitbale, they kicked them out and replaced them their new house line of organic products.

Obviously, if you put all data into one table, it's not a complex query. (But then you also just reinvented document databases with its own set of problems.)
Even having them in several tables is not rocket science, OP was just trying to give an easy example of types of queries that are easier with datomic than with sql.

Both of you are missing the point. Once you normalize, car color would be an attribute on the car table, and to map those you need many-to-many lookup tables. It can be done obviously, but it's more effort to do, maintain and update. Depending on your requirements, graph db like features can provide an easier abstraction.

When I let my 5 months old investigate my keyboard, he changed my code, started the compiler and locked the device within 30 seconds. The secret? They use both hands. The give away? They re-press the same keys often, so the result would be a lot more repetitive.

>Totally agree, but it takes a really strong product manager to stand up to a sales person with $10K in revenue from an enterprise buyer "if we just add this one feature they want".
Lol, let's be realistic. If a PM is in the situation to decide that and does so, in a few days he'll find himself in a meeting with some higher ups to discuss how to find a way. (Unless of course 10k is insignificant for the company and there's already a hard roadmap for higher value projects.)
