Figure out what medium you'd like to work in (3D, painting, generative art, film, photography, etc.) and then take some classes on that subject. That will put you in touch with an instructor who is an artist and students pursuing art in addition to teaching you about working in that particular medium.

Seems like you should be able to work remotely with your skill set even if you have to change jobs. If you can convince your partner to also go remote, then you could both become digital nomads and get your travel in. Or, you don't have to go full digital nomad, you could both just leave London.
There's not much point to staying in a job you hate if you have other options. Money isn't everything and not everyone survives to retirement (even early retirement).

Yes, exactly this. As long as the fiat on-ramps and off-ramps are KYC'ed everything that happens in between is an open book. The individual can just use cryptocurrency tax reporting software to provide a trade history for their taxes, and if they don't do that then the IRS can easily track all of their transactions since the IRS will know what addresses they are sending to from exchanges. There's no need for every DEX (or other service) along the way to KYC their users.

I agree that this provision is a disaster and will force a lot of cryptocurrency startups to incorporate outside of the US and also not offer their services to US customers. It's a real shame. The government should be able to get enough data for tax compliance just by making fiat on-ramps and off-ramps (aka exchanges) implement KYC (know your customer) rules.

A new iPhone SE is $250 from Boost Mobile right now. The last time I owned a budget Android phone the MISC folder filled up with garbage that I couldn't delete until the phone was unusable. My iPhone SE will probably end up lasting something like five years. I think the iPhone SE is the best choice if you're on tight budget because its OS is better and the phone will last longer for that reason alone.

This is excellent! I’ve lived this experience with a graduate thesis project that has taken over a decade to complete. Stephen Pressfield’s books (especially Do The Work) felt very close to the mark, but I also couldn’t buy into the idea that the resistance should be thought of as something external (a malevolent force in the universe). I think this article solves the mystery of what the resistance actually is. This understanding of the resistance combined with Pressfield’s book Do The Work could help a lot of people that are “procrastinating”.

Before streaming, a movie studio actually had to convince an audience to leave their houses and buy a ticket to make money from a movie. This meant the studio had to pour a lot of money into marketing for each movie. The cost to market a movie could be up $30M to $50M range for a blockbuster movie. For a mid-budget drama like Meet Joe Black or A River Runs Through It, you could be looking at a marketing budget that matches the production budget ($30M production + $30M marketing). These big marketing costs for every movie meant that the quality of those movies needed to be pretty high to justify the marketing costs. Streamers don’t have to convince people to go out and buy a ticket for every movie they release. They just have to keep the existing subscribers paying and get more people signing up. So the marketing cost per title goes way down. This takes some pressure off to make quality content because the risk per title is lower. Also quality movies on streamers don’t necessarily get the marketing and fanfare they would have before streaming.

What happened around 2006 is streaming. This caused DVD sales to tank, which had a massive effect on the film industry’s bottom line. DVD sales were a money printer and that cash allowed studios to take more risk. Once DVD sales started tanking the indie film divisions of major studios (like Fox Searchlight) started to die, which is a big reason that films became less interesting. Also, the shift to making money mostly off the box office rather than DVDs meant that a movie needed to make more money in its opening weekend, which meant needing to make tent pole movies that appealed to all ages and international markets. Imagine how hard it is to write a movie for all ages in all countries.
