Oh man this is really good. I have had to do some gist exclusions for payment data and it was clunky. Hopefully we get the other half of bitemporal support with postgres 20!

This reminds me of learning linux and cli commands because an old netbook with like 512 of ram was struggling with modern guis and web browsers. So I used a minimal i3 installation and interacted mostly with a terminal.

Ask HN: How do you use HTTP status codes in REST APIs?

I am curious as to which philosophy you use when designing a REST API that returns JSON.

If, for example, no record is found do you return a 404 status code or a 200 with an error message?

I'm partial to using HTTP status codes and was wondering what the HN consensus was.

You can still do things even if your character isn't. A big draw of D&D is the social aspect, you can still roleplay reacting to being hit or seeing an ally do something.

If you want to exercise your brain while waiting on your turn do like high-level chess players and think during other people's turns, I find that fun. Think how the recent decisions or rolls modify the state of the battlefield or your chances of victory.
