this is, legitimately and without any exaggeration whatsoever, almost exactly how nearly everyone I speak to IRL as a homeless individual interacts with me. There are a few here and there that absolutely do make an attempt to have real discourse and actually discuss in context, but by an overwhelming majority, most of them just take the (to borrow from a response) SLM approach.
life is exhausting sometimes

another reason, namely the reason that I specifically do not use wireless headphones:
due to the nature of wireless communications, real time audio is effectively impossible and as such there is almost always some amount of noticeable latency when performing tasks that rely on real time audio (eg music production). a little of latency is okay sometimes but the amount that wireless devices introduce is typically on the offer of maybe 100-200ms and when you're trying to play a section or some such it makes it damn near impossible to hit a note on the mark you're aiming for.

I have issues with seeing this as word salad, simply because in most instances that term is used to describe utterances that are entirely nonsensically, linguistic content so utterly absteuse that one has no hope of deriving any sort of meaning from it other rnsn, well, it's just a bunch of words tossed together. having read the description of the project, as well as several comments here on HN, I personally don't understand how someone might read that and somehow take away nothing from it in understanding. I feel like it is written fairly clearly and effectively, but ofc that's just me and as with all things, YMMV.

anecdata: for my entire life, I have neber, until about 3 weeks ago, owned a laptop with any type of gpu other than an integrated graphics card built into the motherboard. for most of my life in fact I have never really had any modern or really serviceable hardware, as I've basically inherited all of my compute devices secondhand never had the money to just go out and buy a decent rig (or to even put one together for the matter, perhaps tbst will elucidate the economic sector which I have basic y always occupied. well, not always, as now that I'm homeless, I somehow went even LOWER! )
though it truly does excite me that I finally have something with some type of GeForce branded x graphics device inside of it, now I can finally run local machine learning tasks and not have to cloud it out

i find that it’s actually fairly common for people to have accumulated several loose and random cables over time. even my mother, who is not particularly a technologically inclined individual, still had several hdmi cables and different usb cables. every single device (not just phones but things like flashlights, wireless accessories, fans, etc…) people buy that needs to be charged generally comes with a charging cable, and there are ever more usb chargeable devices coming on the market nowadays.
hell, even homeless people such as myself tend to have giant collections of random cables, even when they don’t actually have anything that requires charging.

Universal Paperclips is one of those true gems and in my opinion one of the standout examples within the incremental genre of what a game can really be. also good incrementals: a dark room, SPACEPLAN, kittens game, and trimps. with the exception of SPACEPLAN, all of these games have always been greatly enjoyable despite feeling like the worst type of work that one could be doing. i find it odd that I'm willing to do that sort of resource allocation and microoptimization thing almost endlessly for free, but the idea of doing it in meatspace for pay seems almost intolerable.

seconding what baash05 said, want help? this sounds like a really neat project and I'm honestly better with helping other people's ideas come to fruition than I am starting my own.
nb: i am homeless so my availability is somewhat sporadic since it's dependent on when I can charge my phone and such. but I got a laptop hiding out somewhere I just never use it out on the streets because it's a battery addict and drains that like an alcoholic does whiskey. also it's a 2006 dell xps m1701 so it's actually just a hefty beast.
but yeah. let me know if interested as well. email in bio etc
