The name of the solution is RAG - retreival augumented generation. It is pretty easy to whip up your own over a corpus of material. I built one for myself within a week over a corpus of my favorite cook and homebrewing books. All you need is source material, postgress (pgvect) and some compute (llama.cpp with a decent chat model for chunking and labeling, an embedding and a rerank model. or some $ to use those via a router). When the corpus is indexed, you use your favorite coding agent and a system prompt that forces the model to answer only from search results.

I didn't think that there was something wrong with my git workflow, or that git was complicated. I switched from darcs as my primary VCS to git around 2007. I was skeptical about jj at first but gave it a try. Did not look back ever since.
My impression is, that git is ok for managing shared history. And thats what i was using it for mostly. But jj added another whole dimension for managing my work in progress, different paths of code that i am working on in the moment. jj made it almost frictionless. I did not know I was missing it, but i'm not going back.

> "they don't help us because they are racists"
That is not what i meant when posting the poem.
When someone asks "Why is every western government not warning Pakistan...", he is basically rephrasing Kipling and asking to "Take up the White Man's burden".
This has been attempted before, didn't go so well. That might give a clue, why we are in the current state of affairs.

There is some life in Rails, but new greenfield rails projects are rare. It is mostly legacy stuff now.
The ecosystem is slowly fading away. Big industrial libs are still good, but a lot of smaller projects are abandonware, last updated in 18-19.
The cool kids moved on to Go, Rust, TS, Elixir etc.

Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?
I mean 180+ commits, 3 month old, bold claims and already 8 releases on rubygems?
There ought to be a vetting/voting process for packages, before they are accepted into a public repo and pollute the global namespace. Like in arch repo/AUR.

Once i had an idea: instead of styrofoam or packing peanuts just use pop corn or puff rice. Thermal insulation, shock absorbent and biodegradable! Not sure about flame resistant.
Also reusable. Make a mash, add some amylase and yeast and you can distill biofuel. Win-win.
EDIT: (fungal aspect) seed it with the right spores for container shipping and you get some free penicillin upon delivery!

One of my favorite zen koans is "Fire-poker Zen":
"Hakuin used to tell his pupils about an old woman who had a teashop, praising her understanding of Zen. The pupils refused to believe what he told them and would go to the teashop to find out for themselves.
Whenever the woman saw them coming she could tell at once whether they had come for tea or to look into her grasp of Zen. In the former case, she would serve them graciously. In the latter, she would beckon to the pupils to come behind her screen. The instant they obeyed, she would strike them with a fire-poker.
Nine out of ten of them could not escape her beating."
It is a great metaphor. Nine out of ten applications of the tolerance paradox do not pass the fire poker test. One needs a certain level of enlightenment and maturity of judgement to apply it, otherwise it can turn into metooism, mob behavior and plain hypocrisy.

I have been cooking for 20+ years, and i had to read that chicken parm recipe several times to make sense of it.
I have been entertaining the idea of writing a cookbook, that is not based on recipes, but defines some king of framework, describes the main criteria that you will use to judge the result and gives a definition and parameter range to the usual vague "cook until done", "salt, pepper to taste". Kind of Good Eats meets Naked Chef, but describes it all in OO, FP, C2 Wiki and Agile metaphors.

"Mal." is likely Malayalam, a dravidic language from the indian subcontinent, not Malay (Austronesian language).
My Latin is quite rusty, its been a long time since i studied it. But from what i remember there were several flavors, which had slightly different grammar, orthography and vocabulary.
Wikipedia confirms this - there is at least classical Latin, church Latin, New Latin (16-19c), Contemporary Latin (19c onward). Hortus Malabaricus is written in New Latin.

That is exactly my experience with imperial in woodworking!
I had no previous experience with imperial measurements, my country is metric for over a hundred years, but the majority of information on woodworking on the internet or in print comes from English speaking countries that use imperial units in woodworking almost exclusively.
So instead of trying to translate everything to metric I bought an imperial tape measure and a set of rulers. Since then I switched most of my woodworking measurements to imperial, because it just very convenient and makes much more sense when building items that will be used by humans. Chairs, tables, cabinets, chests, even guitars.
