Heavy drinker from 20 to 40 now after some dry January years I only drink a beer or a couple of wine glass in the weekends (no exception) my overall energy and sleep increased by an order of magnitude. I will quit as a target next year. After quit smoking one of my best health decision so far

Same as me I only once created an invoicing system where the pdf was generate from an as400 system in latex and then converted to pdf and sent, but eventually modern erp does the same directly so the project was closed

my 2 cents are two ignobel papers formthe same italian physic professor.

The firs one form 2010 tries to find using multi agents simulation the best approach to solve the Peter Principle in organizations (If you do not know what is the Peter principle is the reason why your boss is so incompetent but still earns more than you)

With the availability of ChatGPT like plugings and api I think lot of people both IT and NON are using it for automated boring tasks like email reply, writing documentation, code check and so on.

Apart from these, is there any interesting and/or weird automation that you have put in place to gain time from boring tasks or some automation that you have created by using ChatGPT like services?

my two cents, even if I am not 60 but nearly. Do not underestimate the role of chance and fortune in all the decision you made. Don't even think for a moment that all the efforts you put in your job/career, relations and to stay health will somehow led to a positive (for you) outcome. The mantra "if you dream of it you can have it" leave to the posters because it's totally wrong and it can bring you to mental problems if you embrace it. I know it sound depressing but I see lots of people at my age (55) that are nearly broken because for example they sacrifice everything for their careers and goals and now that they don't get what they want are a complete mess. On the same way I see woman that sacrifice they own being for the children and now that they children as grown and do not care so much about their parent are loosed in a life without meaning for them.
