Greenlanders could be offered 10 million dollars each, the protectorate of the US and laws does not sound so bad to me, I would take it, currently living in a dystopian socialist Labour nightmare, the UK (could be worse, we could still be in the EU).

The Irony is in the UK we are about to get a socialist state, not renowned for their libertarian acceptance of other points of view. I am sure the new Labour government will make sure we have the same system in the UK in the name of co-operation.

Well on the one hand its very interesting... on the other a little dystopian, but I guess I am a luddite.

Everyone now will appear to be of a certain intelligence with proscribed viewpoints, this is going to make face to face interviews interesting, me, I think I'll carry on with my imperfections and flawed opinions, being human may become a trend again.

I am seeing alot of these logs in my nginx access logs,

the IP reverse lookup is from googleusercontent.com 137.22.142.34.bc.googleusercontent.com

Has anyone ever seen this before, or is this something I need to be worrying about ?

Was the first game I ever played on a cousins Atari in 1982, I loved it and Superman, was absolutely fascinated by the game on the TV.

Got an Atari shortly after for Christmas.

The genre of movie based games has now completely turned on it's head, games are now made from movies.

This is a total disaster for the open source community. However you paint it, we are all being forced to chose a commercial solution, where we get rinsed.

RedHat/CentOS what have you done? its over for me

Well after carefully examining the RedHat CentOS move, it has caused me huge despair, finally dawning on me after 20 years of using RedHat derivatives, that this is a hugely damaging move by RedHat/CentOS to me personally and the technology I have invested years of time in, they have pretty much killed private infrastructure in one move.

Everyone will now be looking to evacuate CentOS, not entirely sure how independent hosting companies are going to come back from this and what their strategies will be, any ideas are welcome.

Why in the world would anyone running KVM with 100s of VMs for development, build, infrastructure want to pay RHEL(IBM) $$$$$$$$ ?

Options so far are: Oracle Linux, unashamedly copy of RHEL (The enemy (oracle) of my enemy (IBM) is my friend ? long term option ?). Rocky Linux ?? can they pull off such a massive rebuild of the CentOS model, without it being impeded by IBM (legal). Ubuntu, have used but always gone for stability and trust with CentOS, time to reconsider. Move to GCE/AWS, still cheaper than private hosting running RedHat, all they have done is destroyed private hosting and infrastructure as an option.

linux, is linux, is linux so bye, bye IBM you ain't nothing unique or special.
