It sounds great at first blush, but the fees are much higher than ACH Direct. Who is planning to keep this turned on (they just emailed us to say it will be auto enabled), and why?

The reasons given in Intuits blog and other links doesn't provide any substantive detail about why they are making this decision. Is anyone aware of the real reason for discontinuing QB in India?

Audio books at 2x or greater speed. If the narrator is too slow, my mind wanders with each pause between words and during long, drawn out syllables. High speed forces me to concentrate.

This ad hominem response doesn't refute a single data point or interpretation the author put forward. If the institutions that historically control the narrative are the only ones authorized to interpret the data then we may as well not have access to the data; we should close our eyes and allow them to lead us by the hand.

I learned years ago that most RFPs are a massive waste of time and effort. But why should the process be illegal? If cities want to compete, so be it. If the citizens don't like it, then vote out the city council. Corruption is illegal... This headline and article are link bait, at best.

I don't disagree with these points, but you have to question the author's ability to ever find a job that will work for him long term. Over ten companies in 20 years is a sad resume that calls into question either his ability to seek out meaningful employment or some other issue with the author, like terminal "grass is greener" syndrome.

This is a fantastic development. Tying the climate change and water shortage to civil unrest, regional war, immigration disaster, and world security problems is something the US presidential candidates are failing to understand or at least communicate effectively.
This article was a hard read due to lack of editing. I hope they update it with fewer typos and cut and paste errors. Peer review people, at least.

Glad he doesn't touch type? What a lame excuse for not mastering the tools of his trade! That's like a carpenter saying he's glad he never properly learned to use a hammer. There is a time and place for a steady pace and thorough design process, but not in the early stages of a startup. If you can't keep up with your user's feedback and market demands then you'll lose to a scrappy team that can, no matter how beautiful and elegant your code. 95% of software startups that become wildly successful were built on an initial base of excrutiatingly ugly code. Gold plating code for a business that is bound to change directions is a great way to ensure failure.
