easy hack: maintain a garden in an area with poor soil. between clearing, aerating, digging, mulching and weeding you can get all of your cardio AND some fresh veggies!

Unfortunately it's not all economics. The prison system in the US exerts its power on the population using fear. The goal is to have a certain amount of people in prison, not to save money by getting them out. There are myriad ways to achieve reducing the prison population if that was the goal.

Apple acquired DarkSky and sunsetted their API in the past few years. It always seemed more accurate to me than any other weather service. Sad to see it go.

At the beginning of the conflict I noticed my feed was fully leaning towards supporting Israel, even if it was only the posts of 3 people. Somehow the 30+ people demanding the stop to the bombing of civilians didn't really start appearing until late November.

They were posting the entire time, but Meta's algorithm decided not to show it to me.

I thought I was buying something more dependable. Now I have to deal with the issues listed and more.

1. Carseat in the back triggers the seat belt unbuckled beeping that never ends.

2. Collision avoidance slams on the brakes when grass is leaning into the road, especially while reversing (a common occurrence in rural areas).

3. Battery dies when doors or trunk is left open due to the car running its computer.

4. Less control over lighting. All the interior lights turn on after turning the car off and opening a door.

5. "Infotainment" that looks like it was made in the early aughts and has no customizability. Why pay for a screen you can do next to nothing with. I can't even replace it to get a real equalizer for audio.

What reason did they have for continuing unprofitable work? I can see waiting out a contract, but after continuously having to offset costs you'd think someone would suggest simply sticking with governmental contracts.

I've heard over and over from managers that scrum is better at anticipating delivery dates. Even when the dates are consistently missed. They'd rather slow teams down with process so they can have a date to give their stakeholders, regardless of its accuracy.

Can confirm as of 2017 most of the software running in production was OpenACS. I try not to think about all the tangled webs inside Oracle PL/SQL procedures. I had hoped the rewrite finished years ago.
