Nitpick: currently in the US, most public libraries do not regulate anyone, of any age, from reading “adult” books.

I mean you can be a local bar that hosts KKK rallies and sure that’s a legal thing to do (in USA), but you will still end up being known for that, probably by many names that don’t just include “phobia”. And of course, the impact of bringing together a KKK rally inherently impacts your local community since you may begin to see things like lynchings in the news or in person.

TBH TI-89 titanium is a better engineering calculator since the UI is way better. I have both a HP50G and a TI-89 titanium and I've done way more useful engineering work on the TI-89 titanium just because it's so much easier and accessible. Also of course, BASIC is a lot easier than reverse polish lisp for making some quick scripts.
Also I will add, there are known symbolic math issues on the HP50G due to the CAS system it uses. I will see if I can find a link.

So scratching definitely still happens, both on sapphire camera lenses and new scratch-resistant screen technology. I’ve mainly had it happen with concrete. I think concrete sometimes just has some rocks in it that have a very high hardness because I’ve gotten pretty thick scratches in new iPhones when they’ve taken a slide over a rough concrete sidewalk due to a drop while walking.

To add to this, I think the toxic part about this is that SSRIs are the first line treatment, and are handed out like candy when they are not magic cure-alls for whichever ailment. In fact there’s a risk of SSRIs activating self-destructive mania, even in people who do not typically fall under the “bipolar” umbrella. (which, the interactions of SSRIs with undiagnosed disorders is also unsafe given their track record of being handed out like candy).

The thing that really ticks me off about RUST is it has compiler optimizations that can’t be turned off. In C++, you can typically turn off all optimizations, including optimizing away unused variables, in most compilers. In RUST it’s part of the language specification that you cannot have an unused variable, which, for me kills the language for me since I like having unused variables for debug while I’m stepping through the code.
