I started coding on c64 when I was 10. I'm close to 50 now and still code but it was much more fun 40 years ago.

I wouldn't say stock picking is a bad idea. If you're interested in finance and willing to learn how it works, it can be a great hobby, and you can potentially make money from it too. Otherwise, DCAing into an index fund is probably the easiest and best solution.

Yeah, I also got burned by this. I spent three months saving up and invested in Lucid Motors back in 2021, only to lose 98% of my money.

Well it takes lots of time to setup + needs a few extra server like event collector, log cleanup and enrich, data loading and database server.

Start tracking your time with a simple app like https://github.com/projecthamster/hamster When you start the timer you should only focus on that one task. If you get distracted stop the timer. After a week or month you will have lots of info and it will be easier to decided what to do.

We're building an email client called zinbox which I use everyday. First it was hard to use but after a few ui change it started to get comfortable. I think it's really hard to develop software if you're not using it.
