Very happy with Bun too. Personally mostly use Bun compatible dependencies.

Bun doesn't ship with a browser though.

Bunny's CDN is great. The issue in the post is about their file storage service not the CDN.

For my storage needs in the EU I'm using Upcloud's object storage. Very happy with them. Then a Bunny cdn zone if I need to share the files publicly.

As an anti piracy measure, La Liga (Spain's biggest football association) was able to push the government so that all ISPs have to block Cloudflare's IPs during matches.

It's ridiculous.

I'm in the process of doing this for a Spanish client because of the La Liga situation.

Only using edge storage, DNS, and CDN so far but very happy with Bunny.

We replaced Node.js with Bun for 5x throughput

It's worse to assume something is completely broken and anyone who has had a good experience with it to be an ignorant.

I know the tradeoffs. For me it's way better than Node. Especially given the campaign targeting Node devs.

Of course he is. In fact in that same podcast Andreessen makes a point using historical evidence and what is history but collective introspection?

I do agree that too much introspection can be negative and that it's hard or even impossible to understand your decisions and motives until some time has passed.

In which country?

I live in Mexico and even here you really need to go to the poorest families to find a home without a laptop. Even those families have multiple smartphones. Today a smartphone is not a good replacement for a laptop but maybe in a couple of years it will be.

I worked in EdTech about a decade ago and our education/pedagogy experts were already talking about this. They also talked a lot about how handwriting is super important for cognitive development.

After working on that company for a couple of years I realized using tech in education (pre university) was a mistake. One of the reasons I left.

In a decade or two the long term consequences of inundating kids with tech and then removing it will be quite obvious. This will be studied for decades to come. Reminds me of the Dutch kids that were borm during the 1944-1945 Dutch famine.

I alway use LinkedIn and Meta websites in a different browser altogether.

I hope browsers in the future will need to ask for permission before doing any of that.

If OpenAI goes down their investors will lose any chance at getting their money back. They need to keep pretending things are going great for as long as possible.
