> Now, if you knew the tire had issues and you secured it with zip ties, that's another story.
Securing your tires with zip ties and telling an AI to go off and do whatever it takes to achieve its task without knowing or caring what it’ll do are the same: negligent. It needs to be socially and colloquially unacceptable to do this.

Way back in the day Kustomize didn’t support replacement or tempting for any arbitrary value, just some of them, and Helm didn’t have any of those restrictions. The instant we ran into a problem templating with Kustomize we dropped it and stuck with Helm. As you say maybe a skill issue but eh, what we have works.

Some of the rest of the time can be spent making it look like your ratios are the same but in reality you just take the saved time and do whatever you want with it. The decision making and reviews aren’t happening any faster anyway so just take it easy and coast a bit

The less sophisticated users can use their passkeys then, and the rest of us who know what we’re doing and have been for 25 years can continue to not support vendor and platform lock-in and forced device attestation. The amount of marketing and push behind passkeys does not feel entirely genuine to me.

I think the repeated posts and articles constantly rehashing this topic is telling. Every thread is nearly the same in terms of some people saying “here are the reasons why passkeys don’t work for me” and other people saying “you’re holding it wrong”. I don’t think many people come away with their views changed.
