Most consumers would prefer household OS name like Windows or MacOS over Linux as a pre-installed OS. OEMs will always prefer Windows because of the profits they make whenever there's a Windows Refresh, no matter how bad the version is.

Windows is just one of Microsoft's gateways to get you on the office suite.
