Of course I put the wrong link in. The link was supposed to be https://demo.seasondfs.com - the public demo, but more general info is at https://seasondfs.com.
Season DFS blends traditional fantasy football leagues with the DFS (daily fantasy sports) fantasy format. There isn't wide support in the market to run leagues like this and the ones that do have it as a secondary focus, so I made one where the whole platform is based on DFS.
I have been running a league like this for a few years through one of the biggest DFS providers out there, DraftKings, combined with an Excel spreadsheet. The league itself has turned into my favorite league just based on the format. The logistics of running and participating in the league through DK, though, leaves a lot to be desired. Since DK makes money from running paid contests, this type of season-long league will never be their focus and the current implementation is just kind of bolted onto their main platform.
I decided to build out my own product here and address the things that I found myself wanting. The people in my league share a lot of the same excitement for the league so I figured there's gotta be a market for this. I mean, there doesn't have to be, but to me it seems like it!
To be brief on the format, it is all about submitting a new lineup every week. There is not a pre-season draft, no roster management like trades or waivers, it is purely just the weekly lineup submission. There's much to be said about the customizations and experience the platform provides, but that is the core of it.
For the main tech, the stack is Svelte 5 and SvelteKit, Firebase (auth, hosting, serverless, database, real-time data), Google Cloud Storage, and Tailwind.
If you are into fantasy, try out the demo and see if you think it is missing anything.
If you aren't into fantasy, I am wondering if the home page does a good enough job telling you what this product even is.
Thanks!

I made this last year but added some new things recently. It's a fantasy football game for the NFL playoffs, so it's highly relevant right now.
It's a static site using SvelteKit, Tailwind (partly via Flowbite), and Firebase.
Putting it out here mainly to share how much I enjoy Svelte's reactivity system. You can see it mostly in the lineup builder demo from the home page.
If you actually want to participate in a free pool and see how the rest of the site works after the playoffs start, use this link: https://playoffsgame.com/create-lineup?pool=the-goat
It's free, beginner-friendly, and you don't have to create an account so it's a quick. Though, you can log in for a couple extra features if you want.

A friend of mine (and others I know) has been running this playoffs fantasy thing for years out of a spreadsheet. I decided to turn it into a website for the masses.
It's built with Svelte (kit), Firebase, and Tailwind. This has been my go-to stack lately. Very enjoyable!
Check it out and let me know if you understand what the game is and of course if you want to create a pool, go for it!
Please don't go creating test pools, though. You won't get to see any additional info for doing that since the views are locked down until the playoffs start and you'll need real entries to monitor along.
There's a demo of the core lineup building experience built-in if you want to play around.
Thanks!

There's no integrations with other systems right now. I want to use customer feedback to drive things like that (to try to avoid building for the sake of building). I hadn't considered some kind of Slack integration at all, though. Interesting.
And I'm using Telnyx as the SMS provider. I actually built it originally with Twilio, but was turned off by slow support and decided to pivot right before getting into customers hands. Working well so far!
