It say something about how useful is it when it is not subsidiced.
The bubble exists be cause no AI company gets any profits and laughable revenue.
Is it 2000$/month useful is the interesting question.

It is not worth it and it is not even that impressive considering the cost.
If you told me that you would spend half a trillion and the best minds on reading the whole internet, then with some statistical innovation try to guess the probable output of an input. The way it works now seems about right, probably a bit disappointing even.
I would also say, it seems cool and you could do that, but why would you? At least when the training is done it is cheap to use right? No!? What the actual fuck!

There is no such thing as confidence regarding the actual facts, only confidence in probable output from the input. Factual confidence is impossible with current architecture.

Input inference i.e. reading is cheaper, output i.e. doing the generating is not, for something called generative AI sounds pretty fucking not profitable.
The cheap usecase from this article is not a trillion dollar industry and absolutely not the usecase hyped as the future by AI companies, that is coming for your job.
