Which exact model are you using? And with which parameters and quant? And on what hardware? Are you using any specific MCPs or other tools to optimize performance like context-mode or dynamic context pruning? I’ve used local models a reasonable amount before but I’m just starting out with opencode. Haven’t had great results yet but really want this to work for simpler tasks. My opencode newly installed is also having iterm on 100% cpu in idle. :/

Yeah Apple is smart enough to know that large conspiracies tend to leak sooner or later. Your solution would absolutely have been my choice if I wanted to slow down old iPhones, and I’m quite sure the leadership at Apple are smarter than me.

I used to be mostly at high/xhigh but now at medium I think it actually performs quite well both on results and token usage.

I also have things I want to change in gatekeeper, but that feature is not one of them. Just gut feeling but I would say 110% of all users, would just click ”start” on every unsigned app if it was that easy.

I need this too, and looked quite a lot on it a year ago. I haven’t had time to check out the recent developments with Docker Model Runner (vllm-metal) or podman libkrun. Did neither of those work for you?

Yeah, I eat beans all the time and don’t have any reaction to them. Anecdata but in my experience only people who eat very little beans react to them. But I haven’t researched it.

Obviously it happens but I think you’ll have a hard time arguing that worker rights are as bad in the EU as in the US.

Solve our energy problems first? How would decreasing cattle stop work on improving our energy system? I think a lot points to that we need to do both (and yesterday). It’s not like agriculture is a small part of our greenhouse gas emissions (25-35% globally).

I guess that depends on what you put into the word "success". I dont believe that great design work or great products and high market cap has ever been that related to each other.

With that said I dont think Steve built Apple alone either. And i think they have done some great things after his death as well.
