It's all getting abstracted away.Even our computers are.But it's cool to see people continue to pushing the envelope.With the latest models releases, I'm starting to think about what even are humans for now.I guess we will continue evolving and keeping track but with how the models are competent now, I can already be satisfied for the foreseeable future.I don't think I would need anything more.And yet we will continue to push.

In my company several(40/200) people have are in the process of getting fired with the explanation that AI will help to fill in. I'm not convinced.

I remember the days of crypto mining memory intensive tasks do not suffer from TDP reduction as much as game rendering.It's so counterintuitive.I remember getting 96% performance at less than half of TDP with my old AMD card.

It feels like micromanagement to me.Sometimes it's good, other times it's frustrating.The models are not as predictable for contexts in which I am not familiar with.

I am using AI to rewrite every proprietary driver/companion soft I had still running on my Mac system.I am using 5/10% of the original application's RAM.I am getting more features.My background RAM usage halved after converting many of them to my own versions.

I love programming.I have been doing it nonstop for the last ten years. I'm immensely happy of being able of increasing the scope of my projects a hundredfold. I am very happy of being able to ship ten major projects in my lifetime instead of only one.

I strongly disagree.After many years in software development, I'm sick of resolving the same issues all over again.Make me write less code, make me spend less time fixing it.That's what is increasing productivity and scope for my projects.

I've been a full stack and frontend focused engineer for six years and got sick of writing code by hand. Moved to design. Now since I can code with my voice basically I'm getting back into vibe coding and building products. And it's awesome. My bosses still trying to figure out the new situation though, i think the old school separation of roles is starting to die.Being on the intersection I think is the best place to be right now. I feel like my whole life I've been preparing for this moment.

Many times my design day job is now about fixing hallucinated ai assisted designs prompted by incompetent people.
