About half of that will go to electricity here in the UK (23.72p per kWh). After costs that's roughly $145 a month profit. Might be more worth it if you have rooftop solar and have free electricity during the day.

From China to the EU it adds roughly 1/3rd to the time, which is a decent proxy for cost. There are savings in not having to pay Suez fees but these don't seem to make a huge affect to shipping costs.
It's probably worth adding that going round the cape doesn't add just more cost to fuel and time, insurance for cargo down there isn't cheap either as the weather is very changeable.

Background in SRE and Ops but have been working as a SWE for the past 4 years. Recent work has been spent building named entity extraction models for insurance. Looking for something entertaining, open to both SRE and SWE work. Senior/Principal level roles only please, not looking to move into management.

>I don’t think that EV implies software overkill. I hope that some brands will carve out a niche for simple EVs with real buttons and low “smartness”.
Look to the TV sector, you can't buy a non 'smart' TV any more. I highly doubt it will be profitable for a non 'smart' electric car.
I guess the closest we have right now is the Citroen Ami?

>Everything the mainstream media says is a lie.
You've lost credibility completely with this sentence. While I'd agree that many news outlets have their biases, some hugely so, saying everything they say is a lie is just categorically wrong.
Many news outlets like Reuters and the PA have business models based around factual reporting for others.
