Dogs - I know they are good for humanity with getting their owners for walks, loyalty, etc. But have no idea how people get hooked on them with the picking up hot feces and 25% chance of getting a barking/jumping lunatic that you have to rearrange your life every 6 hours around their bathroom habits...

I am only semi technical so most of these go right over my head, but after watching a ton of Jeff Dean interviews, etc it is really fun to see how a 10-100x engineer can operate over such a long career (while seemingly a normal and kind person to boot)

This is great idea - I have a huge tree in front yard that will either cost be $5-10k to come down or was going to rent lift and do it myself - A few particular branches scare me though in terms of how they will come down... Bonus points for where to tie things off.

I wish they would have been more concentrated with their approach versus this spray and pray route (ie test chick-fil-a from different parts of the country and done it 1000 times so customers could actually impact a change to the biggest offenders). Would happily pay to crowdsource a much bigger project here.

I have been looking for something like this. To clarify it doesn't show pedestrians or bikes hit by cars? ( I live near a stretch of road that I know has several white bike memorials but this does not see to not have them there..)

Just as a heads up. Make sure you get a real pro to do the sizing on your unit.

I put in two Mitsubishi H2i systems last year and have had some pretty insane energy bills due to sizing them too large (A general overview of why here: https://carbonswitch.com/heat-pump-sizing-guide/)

Once I get my solar in place I won't feel too bad about this, but for now has been a bummer as was expecting a real efficient beast.

Determined my kids rooms are big culprit with doors closed. (Up to 1400 at night) now keeping door open.

I doubt this will fly when they are older so looking into installing an ERV/HRV system if anyone has any recommendations.

+1 on Just the Hazy by Sam Adams - It would pass a blind taste test and everyone I have had try it likes it.

I think Athletic is way overrated compared to the above though and wouldn't start there.

Dad of three young kids here.

Brain is definitely different.

So much of the disruption is dependent on your kids personality, any medical issues (and sleep).

If I had 3 clones of each kid and their personality my stress would range from minimal:

"this parenting thing is amazing with some difficult moments and changes of rhythm"

To if I had three clones of the middle child, I would be losing my complete mind.
