Depends where that funding goes towards, a lot of far right grifters in the linux sphere hate many projects in the linux desktop ecosystem (freedesktop, xorg, systemd, gnome, kde)

I doubt they care too much. They probably just have customers with applications stuck on a legacy window system. And they pay for that maintenance.

Only Pixels, most other device are ironically locked down a lot more (not allowing custom keys for verified boot) or lack modern security features (like hardware security modules).

So you'll have to wait for the mentioned Motorola Flagship

Unless you really have a large ethical problem with paying for any google product, I'd just recommend to get one of the previous-gen pixel devices. They are a lot cheaper than the Motorola smartphone coming out.

I doubt that very much. They will always be a lot more expansive than even large (~6.8") single screen devices. I don't see how folds will ever be easier/cheaper to produce than single screen displays.

I just don't see why you would spend more than double (almost 2K USD!) for the fold phones though. I have large screens in my home to watch high quality video content. I do like the Pixel Pro XL series with 6.8" screens though, but they are a lot cheaper.

AIP range is still limited though, especially at fast speeds. Thats why even the newest 212CDs still have have snorkels for their diesel and diesels are loud. SSNs are much better for global power projection.

They initially didnt have quick restart procedures for that and it contributed to a nuclear sub sinking. After that they added those procedures and improved the technology
