Back in the days you would buy printed magazines that contained full basic source code of programs and games and type them on your own text editor. I was a bit too young to do that but I remember watching my older brother just do that and then play games (after finding the typing errors for a while).

Portability is a feature. 6.7" have are so big and heavy they are annoying to carry on many pants or while doing many physical activities.
I find my 6.1" Pixel 6a way too big already. I really loved the size of the Samsung Galaxy S6 that preceded it, I think it was the sweet spot at 5.1", large enough to read text, navigate on a map or watch a video while still being pocketable and light.

What the hell are you doing to your phone to make it slower after only 3 years? I am running a pixel 6a, so lowest end and 5 generations behind current models and it doesn't feel slow, even compared to the phone my partner bought new last year. Or is it just psychologic?
Given the price increase in storage chips, are 2026 phones even coming with more storage than 3 years ago?

What is worse? Amish propaganda or car industry propaganda?
While petrol as an energy source was ground breaking 150years ago, burning fossil fuels is a luddite thing and closer to Amish technology than current state of tech so I find it ironic to use them to make a point for fossil fuel usage.

This has nothing to do with open source but to using an opened forge with no restrictions.
As other have said you can always put your app and source code in a web page or read only repo and call it a day. Some people have been doing just that for decades. You don't even have to publish an email address or a real name.

no jack doesn't mean wireless only. Not having TRRS 3.5mm is a bit annoying but there are lots of usb-a or usb-c headset that have an embedded DAC + you can always use the DAC/USB soundcard of your choice. Also many laptops only had TRS which really killed the appeal of having analog wired equipment if you were forced to use the embedded laptop microphone.
