Obama forced something similar on schools:

The policy warned schools that racial disparities in punishments could trigger federal civil rights investigations under a "disparate impact" standard.

Ergo, presumably, if a school had a single purple student. And that purple student was punished for something. Then the entire school had to also be punished for the thing. To not fall afoul of the law. (Or maybe I'm just too autistic to have a nuanced take.)

a contrarian take that's been eating away at my mind lately:

- if every autonomous self-driving car is going to need some sort of edge AI data center nearby (for instantaneous exceptional incident handling)

- if every household robot is going to need some sort of edge AI data center nearby (for instantaneous exceptional incident handling)

- if there are going to be millions of self-driving cars and autonomous robots joining us in the next decade

...then we will need lots more semi-conductor chips, and data centers in lots more places, in the next decade.

Eggplant, after being charred on an open flame, is an incredibly versatile and flavorful ingredient to put into other vegetable dishes. Shout out to the Indian baingan bharta of course. Ratatouille made with charred eggplant is simply amazing.

The word "non" used throughout the article is the origin of the term "naan bread" from Indian culture (the Central Asian Turks/Mughals who ruled most of India for centuries developed "naan bread").
