So you're basically send your code to China?

I thought the advantage of DeepSeek is that you can host it on a server of your choosing.

You might both be. China is focused on adoption and distilling is a cost-effective way to get there right now. If the conditions change they might well decide that they have to start training their own frontier models.

That said, China cannot make its own 2nm chips even though they definitely would like to. So I guess there are limits to what they can do sometimes.

Apparently, hyperspace isn't a given with DMT. I wonder what it is that grants entry... A very experienced friend of mine was just "told" it wasn't going to happen in something like a waiting room. I would love to find out myself but I am too anxious an individual to go beyond a light dose of mushrooms.

I don't think the comment above meant to say there's nothing better than Germany. Instead the claim was that 1) Germany's decline is not due to renewables and 2) despite the decline it's still a pretty good place to live.

Going vegetarian would only cut it if you stayed clear of dairy. Gram for gram it's better to eat chicken than cheese for the climate.

Don't blame it all on entrenchment and bureaucracy. Rather show me the engineers who want to become management.

I have thought of the same solution myself before and came to the conclusion that I, for one, wouldn't want to be leading anything even if I had some ideas on why the product sucked.

Reminds me of the "good guys with guns" narrative tbh. Being able to document such transgressions is not enough of an argument to do a mass rollout of ad display technology IMHO.

Amazing stuff? You mean technical stuff right? Because politically, demographically and climate wise we're headed for disaster or at least dystopia.

Approaching the maintainers would be ideal but time-consuming. Disclosing it like this is neutral I guess. Better than selling it in the darknet.

I do wonder though: if you can tell the AI to search for vulns, can't you also tell it to contact the right maintainer for each one found?
