It also needs a validation loop. Give it the compiler output and I bet it would fix that code even without examples/a blog post.

Are you sure they hold sensitive data themselves though? My understanding was they integrate their tools with customers own data and don't have access to it themselves (at least in theory).

Of course I agree that quote is insane and you can dislike them for political reasons, but I want to understand the technological fears and see if any are unfounded.

Can someone explain why Palantir are seen as such a threat? My understanding is their product is a PowerBI++ and they don't host any user data themselves. Are people scared of backdoors?

I feel the same - would I like a meta paycheck, sure, but I couldn't look at myself in the mirror knowing what the company I'm giving my work to does to people's brains (not just the young, though that is the most reprehensible).

It makes sense - juniors are coding faster but not understanding anything. Ironically it'll stop them getting more experienced despite feeling good. What I'm interested in is if the same applies for Senior+ developers. The soft signals are that people are feeling the atrophy but who knows...

It's an easy and convenient position. War is bad, maybe my government is bad, ergo they shouldn't have anything to do with it.

Too much of the western world has lived through a period of peace that goes back generations, so probably think things/human nature has changed. The only thing that's really changed is Nuclear weapons/MAD - and I'm sorry Ukraine was made to give them up without the protection it deserved.

I'll share my opposing view point. Whilst Maccabi fans may contain hooligans, that's not really surprising for football fans. Fans travelling within Europe cause trouble all the time.

What is different, is that Maccabi fans were blocked from attending by the police/council when no other sets of fans are given the same treatment. Secondly, the police were aware of plans within the Birmingham Muslim community to attack said fans. Instead of coming down on these people planning violence, they decided to avoid the situation entirely.

Furthermore, they ignored evidence from the Amsterdam authorities who haven't said the Maccabi fans were as riotous as you claim. Using AI hallucinations was just the cherry on the cake.
